This knescope was likely filmed in 1954, from the Mutual Television Network (and later ABC) - the Purina Grand Ole Opry at 6 pm on Saturday night before the actual bradio broadcast of the Grand Ole Opry fromt he Ryman Auditorium., I believe that Carl and June were married at this time, but they split in 1955 or 1956 and Carl left the Opry with Goldie Hill to go on the road with the Phillips Country Caravan in 1958. They married a short time afterwards.
@OneKewpie Some time after this show, in 1967, Johnny Cash and June Carter won a Grammy award in the Best Country & Western Performance, Duet, Trio Or Group (vocal or instrumental) category for the song "Jackson". A year later in 1968, Johnny Cash proposed to Carter during a live performance at London Arena in London, Ontario, and they married on March 1, 1968.
This brings back so many memories. TV was fun back when I was a boy. No CSI gore and blood or lousy reality TV shows like today. someone rewind us all back to those good old days please. Thank you Lloyd for posting this great stuff. 5*
Great peek back. I had a huge crush on Carl Smith. His song, "Let's Live a Little" was one of the few records we bought as teens (my brother, actually. He had the job.) Thanks Lloyd. *****

First of all, you are quite welcome.
Secondly, tv was more entertaining to all audienes back then, compared to today's 900 channel universe.
