I love how this video depicts a woman laying on her back and shows how the baby must pivot upwards against gravity... not their intention I'm sure, but worst possible birthing position.
Ya know this scars a lot of other girls but it doesn't phase me much. From what I heard contractions feel like diareah (sp) I can handle diareah (sp) the only part that looks really painful is when it comes out of you're vagina. Maybe I'll get lucky! Maybe it'll come out real fast and I'll barely feel a thing. Maybe it'll be a small baby so barely any tearing and bruising will take place. All you have to do is be optismistc, not all child births are excrutiating.
@MissMaryIsHere Not optimistic, optimistic can be a downfall in childbirth and lead to a spiral of interventions that actually make pain worse. Your best bet is to be knowledgeable, do your research and know that pain is your body's way of letting you know what's normal and what's not.
I don't see why they call it a miracle. A shitton on people give birth everyday, and after over 6 billion successful births, I don't think it really qualifies as a miracle.
@SRH911 Yeah seriously. And sometimes babies come without even trying to, or without the person even knowing they're pregnant. I think after the show, "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" came out, the whole "pregnancy is a miracle" thing just flew out the window... xD
It depends on the person. Strengthening the core muscles may help with pushing the baby, which may help to shorten the delivery, but with some women, faster isn't always better as the vagina can tear, causing a more painful recovery.
natural labour is more painfull but better. In my opinion good luck with twins is harder but try to be as calm as you can and your body releases its own pain killers dont panick too much..
You wil be fine i had two babys both natural and no pain killers whatsoever if you try to stay as calm as u can youll have a lot of pain but only untill you start pushing. now im excpecting my third. Pain and pleasure is connected...xxx good luck
aren't you scared about tearing? Im in my teens and learning about this at school in child development, and heard you can tear, and its kind of put me off having children later on...
@Mazzy95 Wait until marriage. You got your whole life ahead of you and your too young to be thinking about that. However; I never got to do the natural birth because my daughter was born early and I was not dilating so they have to do an emergency c-section on me. But for later on in life, don't let those things turn you off from having chldren. They are hard work, but huge blessings. Mine is now 4 months old and healthy, even though she was early.

I like that you say that the water breaks as the baby moves down the pelvis, which is most likely compared to the sac breaking at other times, However, in spontaneous birth, the lower shoulder (posterior shoulder) is born first.
