Why are people afraid to believe in God anyways? In my opinion, it is another way to keep our society out of their power. A system of oppression, in which we believe martyrdom is the only way to make a difference and one in which "God" is scary.

Why deny the presence of God? Have you experienced empowerment through God?

You don't have to believe in God to get this. Just believe your eyes, as you watch what happens when clean water is brought permanantly to people who don't have it.

I am with you on this. Christ Mass is not about Jesus Christ any way, no where in the Bible are we told to celebrate His birth, but rather that He died and arose and now is seated on the right hand of the Father.

We need to study to show ourselves approved, what are the origins of Christmas, one really needs to look that up. Start with the meaning of MASS.

hold on, i know this is a year old, but we're not supposed to celebrate his birth? REALLY? The event by which God came to Earth to become human like his creation? Which then allowed him to live the only perfect life which could atone for our sins? Which was THEN sacrificed on the cross for our sins and resurrected to defeat the power of death? Christ could not be Christ without his birth, and it is as appropriate to celebrate it, as it is his death. Or are you being sarcastic? Let's go with that

Let's not forget having each person set up an Advent wreath in their home, and once a week during the 4 weeks of Advent, going through the prayers and candle-lighting at home with family and friends. How thrilling, how worshipful, how peaceful!
