You are beautiful. What hurts as someone who is 52 years old is that we still are so conditioned to believe that our natural beauty is ugly. We are still aligning our beauty with that of Europeans who have never been beautiful or real for that matter. @maricasmith Well I'm NOT an expert, but I'm growing my hair out also !! How far are you going to cut it to even it out !! If you shave it and grow it out starting now, by the time graduation comes NEXT May you may have at least ... 5 inches IF you take GOOD care of it !! *Hope this helps* <3 Good Luck

cool, im at the one inch length stage, i like natural hair, but itssoo time consuming, cant stand the boy look, but had to have a big chop of the straight ends due to washing my hair, then coudnt untangle, was a bit unbelievable, but i cover with rap / hats 4 now... thanks for that, cant wait to grow back my nice natural length..

How long did you transition before you did the big chop. I'm transitioning to my natural hair right now. I've been transitioning for five months now and I plan to transition for at least a year before I cut off the rest of my relaxed ends.
