I think they're basing the age range off of twilight princess because in the trailer he works for a farmer and in the game he works for a goat herder I believe but I agree the trailer should be based all around OOT considering there are attributes that are in the trailer that are also done in the game but also if you noticed when he is in what looks like the desert colossus there are those things that fly that you hookshot to in twilight princess just another thing from TP I suppose.

What timeline would this movie had been if it was real because most of the elements they took for this feel like Twilight Princess. I saw a comment on another vid pointing out that the trailer had to be fake because Link didn't have a fairy or ocarina. I just have to point out that the verse isn't specified so you may not have chosen to base it on Ocarina of time therefore Link would not have a fairy or ocarina in your defense. This has too many inconsistencies though. Yes I'm a Zelda fan/critic

I'd just like to point out that, ignoring all the obvious flaws (age, actors, blah), I think you should know that this is a OoT trailer - Midna didn't exist until Twilight Princess. Also, about your #5 Link was never born with the mark of the Triforce. In OoT Link was sent into a sort of "crystal stasis" (not literally), giving Gannon the chance to snag the Triforce, which split in order to protect itself, Wisdom going to Zelda, Courage to Link, and power staying with Gannon.

Some things aren't meant to be made into movies. Nobody would really appreciate except for die-hard Zelda and Nintendo fans. The plot works wonderously for a video game, but it's too long and far fetched for a movie, and the game (obviously) is very different from how life works. Take Dragonball Evolution for example.

@MylestheMediaMaster well apart from the bad choice in actors the trailer is pretty good. the effects are well made. it only needs a few touch ups to be a potential good movie. and cmon.. nothing is worse then DBE so if you just keep that in mind any movie is good.. at least movies based of off games. and the zelda plot is relatively short, even the one from oot. it looks to be long because the days pass so fast but its actually a week max for young and a week for adult so it can be done...
