Johnny did seem to run out of breath more frequently towards the end. Keep in mind he was 75 and still running round the studio and dancing to rev up the audience before the show started. With a nighttime AND daytime version airing, no wonder he tired easier.
tom did a great job hosting this version i think.drew carey i think is good as well too.but you cant replace bob barker nor get anybody close to him.barker was a legend expert to the show.
The only problem with this version was the top two winners made the Showcase. That was only a problem if the first two PGs were won(or a big Plinko or $5K Punchboard winner) and the potential winnings from the third IUFB and PG were less than what the first two players won.

Everyone could tell that Johnny-O was nearing the end; he didn't have the gusto that he would usually give for the show.

The 1970s Dennis James/Bob Barker syndie version and the pre-1975 daytime eps had the same format.

Jguers has a complete episode at his site. Adamnedeff has clips of all 27 of the pricing games as played on this version.

Thanks for the reply. I have already seen those, but for others interested--your information could come in handy.

Awesome to see a full Kennedy episode! He was a great TPiR host. If you have any others, do please post them!

Tom himself didn't think he was so good. I beg to differ, however. Much better than DUH'g Davidson.
