Why didnt they do the story as it should have been done? Why use some unknown female protagonist instead of Harry- because of the added fear factor that shes a girl all alone in a wierd place? Silent Hill itself is scary enough lol. I mean look what they did to Resident Evil for gods sake... =(

i really hated the movie. I feel it didn't capture the horror, sadness, or (with the exception of cibil) the characters. I do find this to be nicly edited though.

1. They were stuck in different dimensions of the town, in the Silent Hill series there are three dimensions, regular, the foggy dimension, and the Otherworld, which is metalic, organic, and bloody.

As for 2. I don't really remember much about the movie.

some disagree because the main character was female originally the character was suppose to be female and the game was about motherhood and how her child some how was connected to silent hill its in the DVD extras and they actually played the game while making the movie if only resident evil movie was just as good

It always bugs the hell out of me when people assemble clips of various source material with no true creative rhyme or reason, put some music under it, and slap their name at the end like they've created something more than make a simple music video. I understand doing fan-service, but statements like "a film by blah-blah-blah" completely gives the wrong implications. My two cents.
