I beat The Fury on my first try... he was kinda annoying though. He was flying on his jetpack and I threw a Stun Grenade at the location (I thought he was at) and it stunned him! Which was hilarious. I went to drain his stamina so yeah.
Beating this guy was so easy! The Fear was the toughest boss in my opinion. For me, the most effective weapons against the fury are: the TNT ,you have to place it next to a fuel drum, and also the A-P detector, also the grenades were very effective against him, but the better weapon that you might use in this battle is definitely the SVD sniper into the dark, period.
Haven'y played this in ages but I absolutely laughed my ass off when you caught him in that explosion and he shouted "SON OF A BITCH!" The first person 30 second wait was worth it.
I dont see why people have such a problem with this guy. He was one of the funnest bosses to fight for me, besides the boss. He wasnt THAT hard to beat, i found it easier to tranq him, rather than to just run up and blast him.
@guitarband16 I thought santa camo is for subsistence. anyway EZ gun and spirit camo does make the whole game a hell lot easier. you should try it sometime. getting the EZ gun may be taking a some time. but it's worth it
@DBarns7 yes it took me like 45 minutes to beat the end with sniper but it took me like 45 tries to beat THIS bastard and the game is totally against you part of the time, it's harder than it looks :(
@SagradaMascarita True that. This battle wouldn't be so difficult except the darkness really hampers things. I got my ass handed to me several times until I learned tricks that worked with this guy. Even then it didn't always work. But then again, a game wouldn't be much fun without some challenge involved.
@007GoldenLion That he was. 'The End' certainly was one of the greatest battles, but it was also frustrating learning how to beat him. One of the best parts was when you finally take him down, he doesn't feel animosity toward you, but instead, acknowledges you as true warrior. It kind of made you feel bad when you defeated him.
anyone ever seen the first nightmare on elm street movie because im referring to how i beat the fury in a noobie way. i just set up traps near the tanks and set them off when i knew he would walk past.
btw he was acting alot like how freddy would act when he has you trapped in a nightmare. I fear the dark and well I did like fire so this battle was a test since in the game I hated when it was dark--its hard to see
@Minan3 The darkness was a pain at first, until I learned how to work it to my advantage. I position my self in a corner, opposite of where 'The Fury' is, then switch to first-person view. I watch for his movement, then strike him when he's in view. If he's far enought away, I can usually avoid his counter attack. Just don't stay in one postiton though. As for Freddy, 'The Fury' kind of looks like him with his disfigured face. This is just my opinoin though.
on my first playthrough i was really confused because i would hear him one place then another, and yeah this is when he really gets pissed after 1/2 his health gone. he flies around burning the place XD. well i can see why i had the worst trouble with The Joy-- she had great camouflage in that flower field.
@Minan3 Very true. He's like a wounded animal, he gets very aggressive when he's below half health. That's why you should never stay near the center of the tunnel, because that's where he always flies through when he's enraged. Stay in the four corners, the duck into the tunnel if he flies in your direction. This should help you avoid the wake from his rocket pack and torch. Then leave the tunnel when the danger has passed to avoid being ambushed.
@vroomer1 Yes actually I did. You get 'The Fury's' flame camo afterwards. When equiped, it keeps physical damage from fire to a minimum and prevents burns. I already had this in my inventory, but I chose to use standard equipment for this battle so as not to cheat.
I needed to look up the info, since I hadn't played this game in a while. You can either get at the Ponizovije Warehouse: exterior of the Chyornaya Preschera cave branch after you defeat 'The Pain'. The second way is Eva will give it to you in the cave after you escape Groznyjgrad. I hope this helped.
I really never liked using NVG and thermal goggles to be honest. I used the thermal goggles against The Fear because of his stealth gear, but not for the other battles. As for the MK22, I've used it to get The Fury's fire camo. However, I didn't use the camo for this battle, because I felt it was like cheating. I appreciate your input though.
Sorry i wanted to say night vision googles , and here comes other tip:
You can beat him only with mk22 , you should know , use the night vision googles and stay in the end of the area , and searching for him , when you find him , press against a wall and , look at him with r2 or l2 and fire your gun , this is the best way i've found...

@DBarns7 The End is a piece of cake. Sneak up on him and everytime he runs, he leaves footprints. Follow these and the fight lasts like 10 minutes.
