  • MrBigs was a great store. I wish it never closed

  • Thanks for filming this and baba booey to ham hands Dan

  • Fukka americans: any time they talk 34minutes before arrive to the head of the discussions! They talk to appear funny and important, with tragic consequences!

    :P

  • Where can I get one of these still? I want this regular 1st version. Not the later metallic versions.

  • @michaelcabrera It's hard to find. best bet is ebay or yahoojapan at this point.

  • I've been to Mr. Big Toyland lol, that's Boston for ya

  • i have the silver plated metallic ver. i must say that if u hav it on satellizer mode the toy looks very brittle(already broke the L wing connector). the little plastic thing that connects the legs and body looks as brittle as well n is likely to brake when u r not careful in putting it together. i don't understand y yamato did not invest well on small impt. parts that connects the whole thing together!! i don't dare transform to satellizer coz of this! KEEP IT IN DANGUARD MODE.

  • man got this one! what a huge surprise from my brother i had no idea he would get this for me this figure rules! love the weight and posability! colors are the cats meow!

    awesome 10 inch shogun warrior!

  • what version of this figure did you get anyway? i got the limited metallic, also, do you know if there is any way you can get replacement parts or extra parts to be a back up in case anything goes wrong!

  • it is very nice but i would rather have the ga-79 deluxe its worth more! being 30yrs old! by the way you must get a huga discount if you went all the way to japan to buy these you must mark it up like a sob!

  • Man I love this Danguard-Ace. But for real now I would have a major problem w/ paying any thing more than $50.00 for this awesome Shogun Warroior !!

Temporarly forget my F@#$ing Azz !!

When it's all said & done it's still just a mass produced toy w/ some collectors value to it. This thing probably only costs Yamato less than $20.00 a piece to produce !!

.Any-thing more than that, this bastard better be making me breakfast every morning !! Can you get the production #'s on this item !! ;:-)

  • awesome job guy! i love it!!! cant wait to own one.. thanks!

  • Awesome review,

Loaded w/ valuable & detailed information !! Excellent video close ups !!

My brother & I are a huge Force-Five Fans !! Danguard Ace was always one of my favorites. What was the cheapest price that you have found this model selling for ??

Love the review awesome job !!

  • Singing like that, you're starting sound like the pilot in the comics baby.

  • yeah still cool and nice but the vintage toy makes the perfect transformation i think... We had it once, owned by my father but it's broken now... :)

  • still cool though...

  • Funner? Try "more fun".

  • didnt they make a dangardace for the shogun warriors line in the late 70s

  • any rewiew on the yamoto 1/24th scale patlabor, thanks

  • So the 'metallic & silver ver' releasing this month is the one with teal blue? Generally, does the darker blue version go by HK version? Also, does the lower & upper portions locked in fairly well?

Thanks for the great review you too! with everything costing nearly $200 a piece, every little bit of info helps.

  • oh my gahd your bahston accent is thick

  • IT CAME FROM THE 80'S!!!!!!!

  • I thought Popy was pronounced like the word "poppy".

  • I'm not into toys and stuff but it was an interesting and in depth review.

  • arghhh....Bandai Soul of Chogokin line wolud have done a better job then that...

comparing with Braiger, which is matter in terms of toy design??

  • I agree, Bandai's SOC line has way better engineering and quality control than Yamato. Sad part is that Yamato's toys are as expensive as SOC but it is mostly made out of plastic...

  • Yamato's macross toys are made mostly with plastic. But their GN-U Hagane line consists of diecast toys.

  • Awesome review fellas.

The icing on the cake? A reference to Ham Hands Bill.

  • nice looking model !

  • What resolution is the HD video in? Just wondering.

  • its 720p at 24fps

  • By the way, are you from Boston Mr. Shogundan?

  • Why yes, yes I am.... I know, my accent is strong, I've been told it a million times. I don't know what all the fuss is, I think everybody else sounds weird...LOL

  • Sorry if I offended you with the remark=( I just thought it was funny that me, a guy from Sweden could hear that you are from Boston=) Love the accent and your reviews on CDX btw=) Hope you won't want to kill me? hehe

  • So nothing on this thing stays on except the things that are not supposed to come off, and the proportions look goofy. Tiny head, skinny lower arms, huge legs, wide torso..

Lotsa die-cast doesn't save this in my humble opinion. As a toy, I'm not interested in it, but it might appeal to fans who have love for the character, which I don't, being unfamiliar with Danguard Ace.

Good review though, keep up the good work guys.

  • great review guys, good to have you back doing reviews.

  • We both have wives. And not to be mean, but you need to not make stupid assumptions.

  • haha, yeah F**kers. There actually are women who find us (bearded), big, robotcrazy men kinda hot. YEAH!

  • Pwned

  • How is that not being mean? If you really didn't want to be a prick, you wouldn't have said that... am I wrong?
