@megsypu there's no doubt that our gap from what is semi expert and pro is smaller these days. d7000 is all we need. check out... freedslr . co m remove spaces and take an opportunity win a new Nikon D7000
this is why i don't understand how dust gets into the sensor when there is no lens on
THERE IS A SOMETHING LIKE A FLAP behind the mirror when is closed when the mirror is closed , so the sensor is behind two of these things how does that shit go in there?
When you press da holy button the dust could come in or when the button is not pressed the dust could go in front of the sensor and then when the lens is on it goes to the sensor.
It's tiny particles of dust , remember , though the place looks sealed to the human eye , it's not really "sealed" , so tiny particles of dust accumulate and then the sensor gets dusty.
To observe the whole process of taking a picture: the mirror going up, the shutter curtain going down to expose the sensor and back up again and finally the mirror going down. All this in a fraction of a second. Amazing !
I adore my 50D

@polonium9 Geeky. Please get your terminology right. Nerds are NOT the same as geeks. Geeks are the dope. Nerds are just, well...you know:)

@lorikzzz
the dust gets inbetween the lens and the shutter then when the shutter is released an air current is formed and dust is sucked to the sensor.
Plus the effect of gravity. This is why you should change lenses while pointing the camera down.

just wondering ... wouldn't you get dust on the sensor if you do that? ... I'm always so paranoid about dust with my 40d ...

I think buddy owns a store or something. See all the other stuff on the wall. I don't think he is worried about dust, it's not his baby.

OMFG you call 60fps "high speed"??? that is no 'higher speed' than what i can see with my own eyes when i open the lens up.!!

Wow, a 50D AND an EX-F1. Truly you are blessed.
Just a thought, maybe you should show it in real time as well for reference.

Try a faster shutter speed so we can see the first and second curtain in action :)
