Your argument supposes that the land you claim to be Palestine was recognised as such by everyone else in the region. This, of course, is not so, and the land would have been exclusively seized by Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, or divided up in some fashion, and whomever was not considered welcome, would have been driven out, especially the Jews. Thus even if Israel did not exist, the alternative actors would be at each others' throats, as per Hamas v. Fatah, for example.

However, North Korea has scored a propaganda victory, which will bolster its standing amongst its allies in terror, such as Iran, which is in possession of three US hostages. Israel has been given further proof that it can't depend on US support in the face of Iran's hegemonic ambitions, directly and/or via its regional proxies, such as Hezbollah and Hamas. Ahmadinejad is expected in the US for UN business, but should be barred until the hostages are released.
