MegaWholigan thanks for posting this great clip!!! I was at this show in 1968 and grew up in Peoria. Left quite an impression and is so great to see all these years later. I might share a couple of things of interest. They actually did not play the Opera House, they played next door in the "youth building". which was larger and to the left of the Opera House in this video. Flight problems delayed the show several hours and concert promoter was threatening to dock pay causing some angst! Amazing!
I grew up in Peoria. It's not a well known fact that The Who played there. It took place in a small, old west styled opera house located in Exposition Gardens. The Heart of Illinois Fair is held there annually. The Opera House is still there. It only holds about a couple hundred people.
I've noticed when john's not looking like he's about to fall asleep he sometimes glances over with a look of wtf in the midst of all this chaos - thats dark dry humour

Been to the Opera House many times.
I'm from Pekin, but was in a band in Valparaiso, Indiana about the same time.
My brother's band Abaddon was roaring about this same time from Pekin too.
