  • slipknot likes penis >:)

  • Just finished reading Stephen King's the Dark Tower Series. Saw the title of the song and immediately thought of it. Haven't listened to Coheed since 2007 but I think I'm gonna get back into them... Hail Gunslingers!!

  • This is about Mayo and the House Atlantic right?

  • @Quetzelamaya im pretty sure its the final battle against the high mage dude(dont hold me to this)

  • My aunt gave me here No World For Tomorrow CD but it's the clean version. I don't mind cuss words. In fact that how I know most of my cuss words... >:]

  • 2:43 is epic

  • yea this album rocked considering they werent even going to make it. personally one of my favs from them not discrediting the other albums but this is so fresh. i love co&ca so melodically epic!

  • I still can't believe they came from the same county I live in. That's some shit right there O_O

  • This needs to be an anime opening song.

  • i hear almost no MJ in Claudio's voice. it does sound just a little like Geddy Lee but other than that, it's pretty fuckin original. that's wut i like about it. CO&CA fuckin rox!!!! \m/

  • If you put Geddy Lee and combine with Micheal Jackson you get Claudio Sanchez!?

  • @XXbloodyXmassacreXX Not quite, its more like when you combine Jesus, with more Jesus, and put in a dash of awesome, with a little more jesus on top! :D oh, and its all mixed together with a spoon made of the greatest of everything in the entire world. This is an indestutible factor in anyones life, just like death, only more fulfilling, and its so great, no one tries to defy it. :D

  • 14 retards think progressive rock is emo lmfao at u!!

  • ya really ,how is prog rock emo? emo is deathcore, metalcore and shit like that

  • this is awesome it sounds like 80s metal \mm/

  • his wife's voice compliments him sooo well! they need to make an acoustic album together!

  • @xXxladysman69xXx Agreed.

  • Coheed and Cambria are an amazing break from the Commercial rock of today, cheers Lads, keep making good music..

  • Thats an awesome Keywork logo.

  • sounds like they read the Dark Tower series

  • I miss their simpler punk kind of sound they had on SSTB.

  • @Apocol0id Couldn't agree more.

  • Without a shodow of a doubt the best live band I ever saw!

  • I have to admit, when I heard the Suffering I hated them but after being forced to listen to this album I massively changed my opinion about them, they're not emo at all, people make that assumption based on the high pitched vocals and the time they got big

  • @blitzpoisonpunk Have you heard all of the rest of Good Apollo 1 besides the suffering? Listen to Fear From the Eyes of Madness, Ten Speed, The Final Cut, Fuel for the Feeding End.

  • @Shabutie97 I have, all I'm saying is that it was THIS album that made me change my opinion of them

  • @Shabutie97 That entire album as well as all the first four albums are gifts from the Gods. They do not have a bad song. Period.

  • the breakdown at 2 minutes leading into the guitar solo, and then the guitar solo it self.. are epic

  • This isnt emo at all!

  • the best fucking song from coheed and cambria EVEEEEEEEEEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @uluvkok It is pretty solid, but there are better.

  • anyone else get turned on by music? cuz i just did.

  • @Dax454 I might of came but i wasn't turned on.

  • They're a shit hot rock band who's music I love to listen to and that's all that matters to me, I'll leave the genre paranoia and bullshit to the kids in the playground.

  • Why this was never on guitar hero i will never know...

The guitar in this song is fucking amazing!

  • I have listened to this song about 345678+ times since it was first brought out and I have yet to tire of it.

  • GUNSLINGERS! ROCKS!

  • if someone said that C&C is EMO then that makes pink floyd an EMO too.. this is Prog. rock.. not emoshit..

  • This is my favorite fucking song by C&C. "Don't wanna live no more!"

  • OH Coheed and Cambria.... my guilty pleasure !

  • i didn't realize they wrote these kinds of songs...

like, the more hard rock kind of stuff...

that was a pretty awesome song though! :D

  • Definitely my favorite song by CnC, but favored house and running free come in a close second

  • @foobermaximus

Yea FAVORED House Atlantic!! A new song I am not aware of!!

    FUCK YEA!!!

    Stupid Asshole.

  • totally kick ass song! these guys rule. those who appose that should take a nice long dirt nap =)

  • Dooooo doodoodoodoodoodoodoo dittley doo

  • @GodsentHellraiser You comment on every single coheed video ive seen. no joke.

  • @RoyalArmy5 You say that like it's a bad thing.

  • @GodsentHellraiser Haha excuse me. . Its a good thing. You are huge coheed fan. Like myself.

  • would anyone mind explaining the lyrics to this song to me? To me, it seems like some conversation between two people. But what's with all the God/ Christ references, like "God isn't at home" and all that? are all those like, quotes from armory wars or what?

  • @rihopoking

It's a story based on a comic written by the guitarist/singer.

  • god is what the writer is referred to by other characters.

  • @leafdapple, so is the writer like, the Christian God or is it like some other god? Because it also mentions Christ in the song("oh Christ will you bury my body?"), which seems to support the above statement.

  • @rihopoking "The Writer" is "Claudio" in the story. An actual character, in a story outside of the main story, who is actually creating the Amory Wars story, and his personal issues/experiences/dreams/demons that are shaping the story, which you can think of as sort of a "living" story. So think of it like a 2 layered story. It sounds complicated but its all rather creative. And awesome.

So no, not any religious god by any conventional means

  • Coheed and Cambria = Progressive rock.

    Progressive rock =/= Emo.

So, before you start calling stuff emo or just generally saying anything negative, you should probably get your facts right. Coheed & Cambria sings of the Amory Wars storyline, not emofaggotry and suicide. You should probably listen to more than just what your used to hearing yourself say.

  • Well said...I hop you didnt think I was calling Coheed emo...thats sacrament, I was merely explaining what emo was to those who didnt know:)

  • @tehpawnzor i agree 100%. but listen to stuff like blood red summer, or some of their earlier stuff...you will hear the "emo" sound there. the only reason is because that was the scene they played in for their early albums. their newer shit is progressive rock/metal 100%

  • @tehpawnzor this is true,

    your "Progressive rock =/= Emo" is right on;

many bands that are prog rock aren't emo... look up Yes (that is the bands name) if you dont think so

  • @tehpawnzor emo=gay fag=gay emo+fag = totally a gay! :]]

  • @tehpawnzor im not saying coheeds emo, but he does say pull the trigger and the nightmare stops, and welcome home is emo

  • @JoKeRzCaRdProDucTion Its only the way you interpret the songs, but they openly say they don't want to just reach out to a certain group of people, they just want to, make meaningful music, that matches the themes in their graphic novels.

    Cheers mate.

  • @JoKeRzCaRdProDucTion I'm sure it does not take a complete imbecile to tell the difference between emo and epic. However, you are a complete imbecile appartently.

  • @JoKeRzCaRdProDucTion Actually, emo means emotional, so most music is "emo" and even if you are referring to emo as in self inflicting pain or hatred for life, Welcome Home is not emo, it is telling of a crime of passion. The Writer's wife cheats on him, and he has malicious thoughts of killing her and throwing her in a grave, telling her "Welcome home." Thats how it got the name. I don't see any of their music as emo, just pure epicness. Its just a "to let you know" :D

  • @bloodyroadahead actually emo isnt "emotional" its a genre of music, thats just what people associate it as, emo music started as kids just playing guitar and singing about breaking up, or depressing relationships, so yes welcome home is emo because hes talking about killing his girlfriend because she betrayed him (in the story)

  • @JoKeRzCaRdProDucTion Stfu and never call anything of Coheed's stuff emo again or i will choke your mother and stuff her ass with my glock 18 and fire off my double stack clip up her ass and pump it full of lead

  • @RAREclan lol fake ganstry but yeah coheed and combria isnt emo its about the farthest thing from

  • @kinglaharl11881 lol yes that was the point :3

  • @tehpawnzor

I don't understand well that sign =/= but if you're calling progressive rock EMO you're the retarded.

if it's not, I agree with you

  • @aeorian hey dumb shit =/=means dose not = , maby u need to go back to school bro

  • @ljk1994 I didn't saw this sign before, I'm spanish maybe that's it, and btw in my comment said that if it's not what i think it is i agree with everything. So please PLEASE before trolling read it all.

  • @tehpawnzor finally someone gets it XP to all who think coheed and cambria is some emo crap.

  • Emo is kinda like Goth, but for pussies

  • Well said.

  • true story and thanks

  • Coheed and claudio; Claudio and Cambria

  • it's just a song

  • nice

  • @monkeyjumbo345

I definitely got the allusions to the Dark Tower books, especially 'you've got the gun I've got the bullets' and 'we'll keep marching to the top of this tower, as god isn't home', and you know the title of this song is an indicator too...

  • @Calibraxxis well the marching to the top of the tower, refers to the highest tower of house atlantic ( wich is wilhelm ryans sort of castle or base)

  • @D3m0n7x What's funny is the direct connection to Stephen King's Dark Tower series. First book is called the Gunslinger, and they are trying to march to the top of the tower and they believe God lives there.

  • @Motorhead151 well i think he means god as in wilhelm ryan since he wants to become god and has a position in the liking of god, also i did not know that there were connections to the dark tower series i mean, the amory wars seems pretty original in itself i dont think claudio borrows anything from king

  • @Calibraxxis Claudio says he hasn't read the whole series, but there's a LOT of connections with the DT series in their songs.

  • 80s-style heavy metal solos ftw.

    SUCH a good song!

It takes a band like Coheed to feel just at home pulling off stuff like this, as they do stuff like "Mother May I" or "The Camper Velorium I". Diversity is hard to comeby these days.

Oh baby, Be my lover, GO ON AND PULL THAT TRIGGER!!! \m/

  • no world for tommorow is a great album

  • this rocks!!! :D

  • slipknot is gay!

  • agreed

  • this song is fucking epic, just like every other song they have, great band

  • Fuck yeah! Coheed kicks ass!

  • God knows I aint stoppin til you breathe none. \(M)/

  • Dang! My number 1 band. C&C so rock!

  • You fail!

  • I never get tired of this song. It's a heavy piece, but it's also beautiful. Fucking righteous! C&C is the best Prog Band of this generation only to be rivalled by Rush.

  • coheed is everything. they encompass many genres, from alternative rock, to metal, to emo, post-hardcore, blues, pop, but are mainly classified as prog rock.

So awesome at what they do.

  • not emo, at all, the suicide references aren't stupid little teenage bull shit like emo kids like to bitch about, it's about Claudio-(in the story) wanting to die for various reasons

  • well i meant the original version of emo, which is completely different from today's definition of emo, which is the version you described. Where angst-y teens cut themselves and feel like no one understands them. that emo sucks

  • but they still aren't emo, even old school emo

  • @badazzbuddy117 Original emo was a derivative of punk rock. Most of Coheed and Cambria's influences are classic rock and classic punk, like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, and The Misfits. The closest thing to an emo influence they may possibly have is At The Drive-In.

  • NOFX said it best....'i'm all outta angst'

  • I don't think C&C can really be given a proper genre, they kinda do everything.

  • who gives a shit if they arent a metal band, song rocks

  • this song is ssooooooo

    MOTHER

    FUCKING

    BAD

    ASS!!!

  • okay yah some of their other songs dont sound like metal but you have to admit this one and Welcome Home are pure, crushing METAL

  • no.

  • At the most I'd call those songs hard rock, but thats stretching it in my opinion in the heaviness aspect. Pure crushing metal? If you really like, or think you like, that sort of thing, then check out Vital Remains or Immolation. Regardless, damn good band.

  • You're one of those people who likes to pretend they know a lot about music by having a really detailed opinion on what genre bands are.

Every band is a different genre, arguing over if they're "hard rock" or "metal" or "post grindcore" or whatever the fuck, is for stupid people who like to have a "holier than thou" attitude.

Coheed is too diverse to be labeled as one genre.

And that's the end of it.

  • @TheSecondStage

Zing. I agree with the too diverse part. But man, we all have opinions, I was stating mine. I wasn't arguing with him/her at all. All the same, I respect your opinion. Have a good'n.

  • @TheSecondStage

Also, that was 2 months ago I posted that. A little late for a reply like that, don't you think?

  • Nope.

  • That's exactly why I love them. They're style is unlike anything I've ever heard. The emotion Claudio puts into the music is brilliant. Probably the only band I can put all their CDs on and just listen to the whole thing start to finish. Every song is amazing.

  • They are what they are. They rely on creative storytelling (Claudio, the lead singer has his own graphic novel series, set to go along with the storytelling in the albums) The seem as if heavily influenced by Rush, and actually the lead singer's favorite singer as a child was Cyndi Lauper. Go figure. This is a badass song. If you don't like it, oh well? /continues rocking

  • so crap it has the word fuk in it. parental locks :O

  • Coheed has the most talent compared to ever other band.

This song really bad ass. Fuck ever that doesn't think that!

  • Hell yeah! i love coheed but metallica still the best in my eyes :D

  • Metallica is a faliure now..

    And no,

I hate slipknot and all that crap.

I'm just stating that metallica is crap now

  • Okay your entitled to your opinion

I admit they have gone downhill but what have slipknot got to do with anything?

    :D

    haha

  • Well yeah but over 10 years of touring does that to a person. SLACK NEEDS TO BE CUT!

  • ew slack, next time the pyro's will get him good :(

  • Seriously? I don't want to diss Coheen and Cambria but these solos are really nothing compared to most metal out there. I think the concept band thing is pretty smart but the music aint the best.

  • man there not METAL metal.

  • If they were playing a metal style song the solos would be different. Coheed has extremely talented musicians on every instrument and can play most things easily.

  • Metal? If you listen to early (80's) Metal. I think they have that sound. See: Blue Murder, Scorpions, Iron Maiden (specifically the Prisoner), Judas Priest, Dio, Fates Warning... There is a metal feel to this, but early metal.

  • They are no metal band. Get ur facts right.

  • There isn't really enough blues/rock influence to really categorize them as rock though. There is certainly enough classical lines in there for them to sound like metal. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they are just a hard rock band but they certainly don't sound like they fall into that category either.

  • Well some people call them progressive rock. I personally think its the best category to put them.

  • If you're going to whip out your e-penis and make fun of someones spelling on the intrawebs at least proofread your comment. Bonus points for misspelling intelligent.

  • you know, the three of ya'll spelled everything wrong...INCREDIBLE....AND......INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION...GOOD GOD PPL

  • i love this song

i wish i had mre of the comics

    tear

    lol

  • what comics?

  • @jewanata the amory wars? lol

  • amazing.

  • that ruins the rest of the story

  • if any of you guys read the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, the part were he says "we'll keep marching to the top of this tower" part every time i picture Roland and his gang walking besides eachother to the tower...and please im only on the fifth book so please dont write anything

  • Wow! I thought I was the only one who thought about that. I just finished the fifth book myself, every time that lyric is said I think of that ominous tower.

  • ya man my brother actually told me about it. i finished the whole series last week. i was sad that the series ended, but it was amazing. have fun and keep reading no matter what you hear. this is monkeyjumbo btw haha.

  • I love those books!! I actually just started the fifth, and I can't get my face outta it!!

  • this is def. my favorite song on this CD and i would kill someone to have claudio's hair, no joke.

  • You could kill Claudio and take his hair.

  • haha, if he stops making awesome songs i might have to

  • Coheed and Cambria don't have many songs I actually enjoy. But this song is undeniably awesome. I don't care if your some 11 year old slipknot fanchild. Everyone should realize just how well done this song is.

  • not many songs you like? are you an idiot? these guys are amazing. lol you just don't know music. :D homo

  • hes a homo for not liking your music?thats kinda fucked up isnt it

  • no, he is a homo for not liking coheed. k?

    these guys are increidtable.

  • Dude lets have an intelligant converstion when you can spell incredible.

  • Yeah, you two can have an intelligent conversation when you can spell intelligent converstaion.

  • fuck yeah, it is! if i dont like something ill happily raise my voice about it, but im never gonna expect someone to like my interests and ill never make them like em either... thats just dumb...

  • Thank you.

  • listen to music you poser prick. what are you like some 10 year old metallica "fan"

  • they got talent, but not the kind of band id listen to =/

  • C&C!!! zomg my looove

  • I guess I can understand that. Tony's voice brings Sonata Arctica to righteousness! =) I guess I just have a different taste in music. Rush is the only prog rock band I can really get into anymore. But I def understand you..my bad.

  • Comment removed

  • Claudio has a unique voice, thats what set them apart from othe bands. Claudio's voice is part of their sound, they wouldn't be Coheed and Cambria otherwise.

  • fuck them being in top 5. they are the greatest band ever or to come

  • i agree wholeheartedly.

  • claudio is a pure legend, bands like these come once every never so dont take it for granted....

muse are gay the lead singer sounds like a pedo who stands out side of primary schools asking kids if they wanna lift. who agrees muse are fags?

btw thanks for the gd quality music congrats on the views comments and ratings...

  • Muse are pure talent dude, so do these guys. I still think Matt Bellamy is one of the best singers, pedo your ass.

  • Wtf has muse got to do with this video?

  • coheeds music changes from time to time, some times its really heavy but there is also that calmness to it, when i herd welcome home i was aspecting a whole bunch of serious heavy stuff, but they are a well mixed band =D

  • this song in itself is one of the most BADASS songs ive heard in a very long time

  • coheed and cambria is a great band. no question to that. they have that classic jam with a modern mood. going to go see them live at the atlantic city house of blues may 28th!

  • coheed is the best...this songs pretty badass

  • coheed is the most talented band out today. DONT TELL ME NO

  • coheed is not the most talented band out today

  • no

    jk

  • hell no!! im playing! hell yeah they r

  • top 5

  • coheed just does so much more than any other band. most bands just write some songs about a break up, or being in love, or getting wasted, and call it an album. coheed has a fucking COMIC BOOK to go along with their shit, a whole story with every album! and even if you don't care about the story or any of that, their music itself is still good in the first place! that, my friend, is the epitome of an awesome band.
