This is definitely a basic care video but I think if you are going to make a video at all it should be one of quality. The guy seems innocent enough but to call it "how to care for a hedgehog", you should really talk about what is important in taking care of one. Examples of this could be good vs. bad food for hedgies, what kind of wheels to use, types of hiding places for them, etc.

Why would he pet the hedgehog against the quills? This guy doesn't seem to know much about hedgehogs, and if he does, he's not very good at teaching things to others. This video basically teaches you almost nothing about caring for a hedgie. If I were the one in his hands, I would have spiked him. You can get practically whatever you want...other people do it ALL the time. Just have the money to back it up. Go to clubs, talk to enthusiasts...you'll find that exotic animal even if your state says NO!

Boa constrictors don't have venom, but I'm pretty sure if you put a hedgehog in with a boa constrictor, it'll squeeze the life right out of it in 2 seconds flat.

I don't think so. Hedgehogs roll in a ball, so the boa would rap round it's spikes and get hurt. But it still wouldn't be a good idea having them in one cage. It would just be too weird. :|

No you should not be worried. I have bred hedgehogs for over 7 years! I know my stuff... Don't worry hegehogs are nocturnal, they should eat and drink during the night, always offer water as they might lap up some durring the day, but feeding does take place at night to dusk. Know if you really want to find if your hedgehog is eating or not place a small amount of food overnight and check in the morning, if the same amount of food is there then it can indicate that your pet has a problem.

Their cage will have a very awful odour if you don't clean it daily. I didn't feel their own smell, but I saw that they clean themeselves the way they spit on their fur as they lick it - sometimes some half-digested food, too - and it dries on their spikes:P
