could someone tell me the basic outline/idea of the strider/doom trap?

I'm a noob but from my experience Doom's rocks allow time for Strider to activate orb super. Strider needs to teleport to position himself so that him and doom sandwich the opponent. The rocks take up enough space so that it locks the character down. Basically, the trap creates one long tick damage setup and keeps the opponent in block stun. Quite frustrating if caught in it.

One way you can tell if it's clockwork is that clockwork LOVES doing launch then teleport into airthrow.

Well any of the top traps can be countered. I think with Strider/Doom it's whether they can eliminate Strider or Doom before they gain 2 or 3 bars. Once he's got'em then that stuff becomes hard to stop.

even if doom is knocked out, he's only used for the assist... if you have a solid secondary character you can make it work with just strider on account of his mixup game... now as far s being countered... if its not cyke, ken, tron, or capcom then assist are eaten alive for free all day... but who would be scrub enough to seriously play ken in 2009...
