Couple inaccuracies. Lenin wouldn't have mentioned "tanks" prominently in his list of capital-defending war materiel, b/c tanks were relatively new, few, and obscure. The hall would have been filled with so much rank tobacco smoke the podium would practically have disappeared, and most Russians there would be chewing sunflower seeds and spitting them on the floor. V.I. would not have mentioned "Communism" as the immed. result of revolution -- he knew that a long period of Socialism came 1st.

You're probably confusing the bolshewiks with the parlamaintarian government of Kerenski that debunked the czar in 1916, but still continued the war.

Uljanow was transported from Switzerland in a blinded railway carriage of the ''Reichsbahn'', guarded by German troops and driven all the way through Germany. Nearly all historians agree that the bolshevik revolution was supported by the Germans to stop the war on the Eastern front.

Germany continued the war after the Bolsheviks took power. Look into the Brest-Litovsk negotiations. And "nearly all historians" do not agree with that. Regardless: Argumentum ad populum, look into that as well while you're at it.

And last but not least, the Bolsheviks called for the overthrow of the German government both before and after taking power, so it's irrelevant.

Comrade, Lenin did not order the execution of the Romanovs. The Whites were approaching Ekaterine Palace where the Romanovs were being held under house arrest and the Red Army soldiers protecting the palace decided it would be best to execute them, lest the Whites free them and they take power away from the Bolsheviks. Lenin only heard of it later. Besides, the Tsar was a monster, he deserved to die.

A capitalist society only needs hints of socialism around the edges to keep the system from running itself to pieces. But it would never work in a country as large and diverse as the US.
