I initially thought that might have done some harm, but the sensors were using visible light. I don't know the exact electronics of the TRI sensors so not sure if IR could affect them. Also, even if it does, I think it would present a virtual wall to the bot rather than removing an actual one..... :-)
If you have a different theory, then please share.....
