We have released the second teaser for the film. Based off of the responses we receive, we will determine the project's outcome. So please take a look:
I have lots of memories of the gardens. Use to practice on gardens ice when I was a kid later played in a few Sunday afternoon games there. Stood in line with standing room tickets and rushed up the stairs to get a good spot behind the rails whenever Montreal came to town. I remember dad getting red seats one night (that was before they made them golds) and leaning over the boards to get Ted Kennedy's autograph. Still have it today. Also spent a few nights in the Hot Stove.lol
Thanks Mom and Dad for taking me to the Garden as a small boy. We always sat in the greys because thats all they could afford but I would not have it any other way. Thanks for all the memories...tight elevators, peeing in a trough, buzz outside the rink, shopping at the leaf store beside front doors, seeing Harold Ballard...all the pictures on the walls, and the stanley cups banners. Hope my son feals the same way at the ACC when he gets older. Thanks Mom and Dad...
@leafs11cups ..ahhh yes the buzz...as soon as you came up the steps from the Subway...."Tickets!! Who needs tickets!!' and everyone hyped for the game
As a Sens fan I think this building is special but have they cleaned it up if they were having events held there like that concert during the INernational film fest and something art related early last month. SO did they clean up the mess or what don't make the samemistake they made in Buffalo.
This building is very special and although i never went inside the gardens, i stood outside it once and touched it and felt like i was in heaven. Maple Leaf Gardens means a lot to me and always will. I was lucky enough once to buy a program from the last game played at the gardens and i will cherish it forever.
its a sin that someone even THOUGHT about the prospect of making this palce into a fucking suermarket, the guy who wants to do it ahs something wrong in his head
I tend to agree. However, if it was up to the Leafs they would just tear it down so they wouldn't lose any revenue to a possible attraction at MLG. (not that they will ever have an empty seat in the near future). They wouldn't even sell it to Melynk when he wanted to bring a junior team there.
Hopefully something comes of MLG because sitting locked up isn't much good either.
i'm a leafs fan so i'm not meaning to be critical but i think the last remnants of the leafs being a respectable organization died with the closing of that building. there has always been a superficial feel to the team since they moved to the ACC in my opinion.
I see what your saying, but the Leafs are still the most storied franchise in the NHL. I mean, Toronto is the hockey capital of the world, just by the way their so critical about their team and how many consecutive sell-outs the leafs have. Also, not to mention, the hockey hall of fame is there, the awards are held there, hell, even the video review headquarters is there. To me the Leafs are and always will be a respectable organization.
I think its just a song specifically for the leafs, nothing really that's publicly well known. I just wish I could download it off of here or somewhere else.
you can say what you want about the leafs and all controversy. but this isnt a terrible team like capitals or panthers with no fans. memories forever here at gardens.
great video! i wonder what it will look like as a loblaws! it is too bad that they don't turn it back into an arena! toronto doesnt have an OHL team, they should put a franchise together and make the gardens the home arena! or they can make it the home arena of the marlies! the ricoh coliseum is kind of ronchy!

I feel for you guys in Toronto. We in Detroit also lost a historical, good-condition stadium in 1999...

This was over 10 years ago...and I still get choked up watching the theme song at the end.

Sorry. It won't happen because it will cost the Leafs too much to a. fix the rink and b. they will lose out on revenue.
In case you haven't noticed, the Leafs are about $, not Stanley Cups or history.
You just have to look at how much stuff they left at MLG before they took off to higher profits at the ACC.

But dammit, children were molested in Maple Leaf Gardens. The place was tainted because of that.
