@div5730 peter aerts is more intelligence fighter, but overeem is not 0 skills :) He was top 10 lighheavyweight back in days, he is very skilled, he knows how to dominate no matter what, all his loses in mma was because of his conditioning, he was gasing because of cutting alot of weigh. you have to understand that these days mma HW have to be 260lbs, He won european submmision championship,he is strikeforce champ,dream champ,K1 champ, come on man he is the most skilled HW in mma,and good in k1.

It`s his decision when to retire. If he thinks he is still able to compete against the best K- Fighters in the world why would he retire?I mean In understand that he is not in his Prime but still he made it to the finals and unfortunately he was exhausted form the previous fight against Schilt. If he would have lost easily in the beginning of the tournament I would agree but that`s not the case.

@Jacob7767 Although its suppose to be a kickboxing match, I kind of like the fact that Overeem muscles his opponents in the clinch and slams them on the mat, it gives him that bad guy persona that everyone loves to hate, kind of like in pro wrestling. It sells, this way when he goes againts a popular fighter, the crowed gets in to it and wants him to lose, makes for good action

Don't be hard guys on Peter Aerts. The was a very hight pace fight compare to the others that night. Peter placed some pretty good combos. Technicaly he was better. Overeem was just too strong. He put 200% behind each of his punches. Pretty scary - only Le Banner is able to resist that kind of power.And now that Overeem is more patient he does not run out of energy after one round like he use too.
