"OH STOP THE BULLS@#&T CLARK! I can see your red Superman shirt under your white shirt.Your so full of S%&T it's coming out your ears. You lying bastard!"
Does anyone know if the color episode entitle "The Man Who Could Make Dreams Come True" is on here? I'm told it includes an early, uncredited appearance by John Banner (future Sgt. Schulz of HOGAN'S HEROES)!
I love Noel Neill. She is my favorite Lois Lane ever! I can understand her confusion though about Clark and Superman...wearing glasses and combing his hair differently made for a perfect disguise. Who would guess they are one and the same???
I love Noel's intrepretation of Lois, and she is my favorite Lois of them all.
Noel broke her hip earlier this summer, and at almost 90 years of age is having a difficult recovery. She did a lot of autograph shows up until then, but she may have to curtail that now.
@TheJomogogo It's true that Coates was more true to the original, iconic version of Lois, a shrill harridan, which I never cared for much. Supes / Clark could do SOOOO much better. : )
@TheJomogogo True that on her scream. At times she sounded like a cougar.
The producers felt the Lois Lane that Phyllis portrayed was just a bit too aggressive for the series, so they bought in Noel for a more "kinder, gentler" Lois. But Noel's Lois had her bitchy moments too.
Being a newspaper reporter, its assumed that you have some degree of logic, the Noel Neil character does repeatedly say "I wonder about you Mr. Kent...after three times the script should have included the secret revealed and kept that way between the two co workers. It s a more realistic approach than the same assumption over and over.
I was priveleged to meet her in 2003 at the San Bernardino, CA, Route 66 Celebration. She was wonderful and very cheery. Jack Larson was there as well and he was just as nice. Too bad George Reeves is long gone.

Best Lois ever. Sweet rather than bitchy. And very very cute.

@02chevyguy The official story on Phyllis was that she was not available for the second season, because had other offers that she wanted to pursue.

I always liked Noel's vibe. Coates seemed like a bitch.

@OaGuardian Phyllis Coates had a very different approach to her character, a more professional and aggressive reporter.
