@dafirstbigballa Microsoft doesn't make apps, they want other people to make apps, for the Zune MarketPlace, everyone can make apps, if you download the SDK.

I'm actually really excited for this. I'm bored of my iPod Touch and I love the OLED screen. I also agree that the headphones are great (I love the braided cord). Don't screw it up Microsoft!

Another? the first didn't fail as long as features go, it had much better and bigger screen than the iPod classics, much better sound quality and just a thousand times better.

It also came with better earphones out-of-the-box, compared to the crap apple bundles with their players.

I'm not saying this is better than iPod touch though since this is going to be its first version.

this might bite into iPod is it actually doesn't overheat and melt when docked for TRUE HD viewing, not the gimmick ZUNE HD bullshit via the tiny little non HD screen. I predict that it will overheat a catch fire. More lawsuits against MS. It's basically an iPod Touch rip-off with OLED screen, less resolution than iPod Touch, but higher contrast and viewing angle.

Nobody ever said the Zune HD was supposed to render HD video on its 3.3'' screen.

It's supposed to output it via the separately sold dock!

The iPod touch can't do HD (no player can do HD on such small screens, and it would look ridiculous if they did) either way, so I don't know what you're talking about.

Actually, for all practical purposes regarding media both have the same resolution, due to the touch's odd ratio, and the zune has a higher PPI count.

taking it to another country you have to set your setting to the location that you lIke. in Chicago 101.9 The Mix

you can set that as your music station but change the setting to that general area. your headphones is uesd as an antenna there is no Static what so ever

How much HD content are you going to have on these things? Even the pricey IPod Touch only has 64GB, and they got rid of the Zune hard drive option. It's alright as long as you're only planning to keep a few shows and switch them in and out I suppose. I find that annoying enough with small music files though. It just sounds like a feature crippled by low storage space.
