If you read the Flower of the Kalahari book, whihc follows the true events of the Whiskers group, you'll see he simply disapeared, which happens with most male meerkats his age. Even if there wasn't a fight, it dosn't change how brave he was.

I miss Shakespear. He was strong because even though he was bitten twice by a puff adder he never gave up. And he was brave because even though he was outnumbered by the enemy he defended Flower's pups until the very end. But what I dont get is Shakespear still alive since they never found him or his body?

It is confirmed that the meerkat in the burrow on Tv was a female stand in. But often a meerkat dies and a body is never found. Nobosy knows the exact truth to Shakespeares disapearance.

I got him from a zoo near me in the UK, Banham Zoo. They have a lovely family of meerkats. They have a website so you might be able to get one mail order.

according to the KMP book, shortly after recovering form his snake bite, Shakespeare disapeared. most likely roving off. what happen to him beyond that is a mystery. he could have joined another mob, or died trying. so he did disapeare, but not in the burrow with the Lazuli

Sadly Shakespeare disapeared and is presummed dead. so many lies have been told about his death like he was killed by the Lazuli or a second snake bite when really he just DISAPEARED. Thanks for the tribute to brave Shakespeare.  He was my favourite Meerkat. I was so miserable when he disappeared. I was hoping he was alive and just got tired of the drama at the burrow. This video brought up some really good memories of Shakespeare and his great contribution to his clan.
