To stop any stupid rumors about sparing sif, you cannot, you must kill him. The soul he drops "Soul of Sif", can be used, the same way other boss souls are used, to create unique weapons. In this case. to obtain the greatsword of Artorias, you must level a broken hilt sword, then modify it at the giant, using sif's soul. to create the sword, he is holding.
I used Steel Helm +2, Eastern Armor, Steel Gauntlets +2 and um, Gold-Black hemmed robe for this fight. Is it good? Cuz i had to use ring of steel protection and havel's ring to properly attack this wolf in the process I broke my divine ring of protection.

@moocowpunk Easiest strategy i found is get him over to the entrance and back him into the a corner and keep getting under him. When you're under him its close to impossible for him to hit you unless he does a back jump spin attack but even then it probably will miss

Almost 70 hours played and I didn't realize you could turn the HUD off... I'm sure it's easy to do so I'll figure it out tonight but if anyone cares to let me know that would be nice.
The whole "letting him survive" rumor, is true only on one account, but you don't get anything special out of it. When you join the Darkwraith covenant, the cat talks about how much she hates Sif and wants you to kill him. WHEN you are a member of the Covenant and are fighting Sif, you can let him live when he is limping.....but you get kicked out of of the Covenant and cannot return for that playthrough. No sword,nothing special, just a bunch of pissed off ninjas.

@imaawesome222 Actually it doesn't reduce equip burden, it just makes you do a flip when you roll if you are under 50% equip burden it also makes you regenerate stamina faster as if you were under 25% equip burden. If you want a good armor for it to work tho, it must be as much as half you weight or it will not work

I am a deprived male and I cant seem to get any spells to work. I have my intell at 15 and my attun is at 11. I have tried the different weapons like sorc spells with calayst and tailsman for cleric spellss but still cant use spells. Please help.
@Firefoxred my axe is max at +5 ???? but still i love the dragon king greataxe it has 380 damage witout uprgades (but i can only 2hand it at the moment i need 50 strengt for 1hand got 38)
@ilovebionicles3 Yeah, takes 10 dragon scales to do it. I pretty much just farmed the blue drakes. At max and two handing Im doing about....if I recall, almost 800+
@ilovebionicles3 Like I said tho, I could be off a few but I also have 50strength and dont know if meeting the requirement boosts the attack or not.Overall most enemies die in one or two hits and those in PvP who are unlucky enough...or just not thinking also deal with the same issue.
@ilovebionicles3 Oh im aware of that. I just mean I was grinding drakes so long I stopped noticing my attack power. I do know once I had it one handed on accident with only 48 strength on the drakes ended up doing just about 400 with a weak one handed shot, granted they didn't flinch as the weapon needs to be 2H to stun them.
On my first attempt I nearly wrecked him and got him down to 1/10th health, but he didn't start limping which worried me and I started to slip up a bit and died. Every other attempt after that I haven't gotten close to killing him. I made it all the way through Sen's Fortress and I'm pretty over leveled too. my shield can only take one attack from him before he takes out half my health. If he repeats the combo and I'm not under him it's pretty much and instant kill.
Never mind you mention my problem around the five minute mark, but with 25 endurance I thought I could at least take two hits. Oh well I'll just try your advice
Hey ENB, want to really thank you for your vids, comments, help, enthusiasm, etc. I 'used' to consider myself a -halfway- decent gamer, until DrkS & seeing your vids. --shamefully-- I realized I was actually a -halfway- button masher, rushing in when bosses HP is down, etc. DrkS & watching a lot of your tactics really has helped me step back & play SO much better, other games seem so much easier now, seriously. FYI It is completely POSSIBLE to spare Sif, if you have at least three kills with the cat covenant ring before killing Sif Alvina will give you the ring of fog and will VERY rarely talk about Sif, I had to talk to her about thirty times to get her to talk about him. She will say how she loathes him and wants him dead. During the fight, Sif will limp and you will be given the option to spare him. If chosen he will drop the sword (For you) and you are given the covenant of artorias. Good luck!
@ChARLi3SC3NEFtW If this was possible, there would be footage somewhere on the internet (if not YT) of it happening. That, and I've chased this rumor a few times. You're right, you can get the ring of fog from Alvina. But Sif must die in order to receive the Covenant of Artorias. I'm not calling you a liar, but video footage would help your claim.

Sif and four kings are my favorite bosses, by far. I remember when I was gunning for the darkwraith covenant like crazy, had farmed 30 humanity from the rats in the depths, upgraded my gear to respectable levels and was all good to go to get this shit done with. Then I fought sif and kings and man was I blown away by the awesomeness.

@EpicNameBro Actually you dont have to kill him, if you are a high enough rank in the forest covenant and you get him to where he is limping, just run away from him until he runs away. This also nets you his sword I believe.
@EpicNameBro Actually in new game+ you keep the ring of Astora so you do not need to kill him every playthrough but you have to in the first one to reach the Abyss

@PLOXZO You go to the bottom of darkroot, where you kill the hydra and then you can go up the ladder, there you will enter the other side of that forest (where you can find the enchanted ember and the forest covenant). And there you can find this boss too.
PS Before entering that part you'll have to fight three cat-like creatures
i hated him so much, so far he has been my hardest enemy to beat although kinda felt sad seeing him limping and hurt.... if only he didn't try to kill me

@EpicNameBro in a past video you mention about your armour being upgraded to a soul level of 30 or something.. did you mean like +30 from upgrading with titanite shards and stuff? I've only recently found out about dark souls and have played it for a while. I see a lot of people with much different levels like not putting any in resistance. Also the flip roll which I have no idea about. I would love for you to fill me in on things like best places to put levels. If you have time. If not, Nvm :)
@Chickenov123 Some of my armor was upgraded (10 is the max, though). The ring that lets you flip is the Dark Wood Grain Ring, and I have a vid about it.
For levels, get the stats you need for the equipment you want, then increase Endurance as your top priority and Vitality as your second priority. WIthout knowing which weapons or spells you like, I can't be more specific.

Go to where the fire keeper was at Fire Link Shrine and you will get the Black Eye Orb. Then go through Sen's Fortress. In the next place, Anor Londo, you will have a chance to use the Black Eye Orb (the game will tell you to). You will then fight 1v3 against NPCs. If you win, you will get the Soul that you need to revive the Fire Keeper at Fire Link Shrine. Also, Sen's and Anor Londo is the next place for you in the story after the bells
Fought this guy tonight and it was really easy. Didn't die once but I felt so bad about killing him poor wee wolf. He didn't limp for me thank god I'd have felt even worse but at one point he did just start backing away and I was thinking please run away so i don't have to kill you D:
I just noticed soemthing. I never use lock on. Will this impare me later in the game? I came from Monster Hunter, and you have a horrible camera in that game (Come on hunters, admit it) and you had to always track your target without a lockon, and I've started doing that here, and I'm afraid this will lead to me being screwed later on, even though right now I can fight enemies just as easily as shown in videos and such.
@Blahhikablah There are some boss attacks that you'll have difficulty blocking manually (you have to be aimed just right or they'll hit you)... BUT you don't HAVE to block them. If you can dodge around with no problems, you'll be fine.
If you want to be, the VERY best... the best that ever was... then you should learn to use with and without. But it's not a big deal, so don't worry.

Put them into your attunment slots.
then use a catalyst.
make sure your top d-pad item is an appropriate spell and bam.

FYI It is completely POSSIBLE to spare Sif, if you have at least three kills with the cat covenant ring before killing Sif Alvina will give you the ring of fog and will VERY rarely talk about Sif, I had to talk to her about thirty times to get her to talk about him. She will say how she loathes him and wants him dead. During the fight, Sif will limp and you will be given the option to spare him. If chosen he will drop the sword (For you) and you are given the covenant of artorias. Good luck!

You're right, you can get the ring of fog from Alvina. But Sif must die in order to receive the Covenant of Artorias. I'm not calling you a liar, but video footage would help your claim.

Sif and four kings are my favorite bosses, by far. I remember when I was gunning for the darkwraith covenant like crazy, had farmed 30 humanity from the rats in the depths, upgraded my gear to respectable levels and was all good to go to get this shit done with. Then I fought sif and kings and man was I blown away by the awesomeness.

@EpicNameBro Actually you dont have to kill him, if you are a high enough rank in the forest covenant and you get him to where he is limping, just run away from him until he runs away. This also nets you his sword I believe.

If you use a greatshield, then you can easily block the double hit. Eagle Shield is grossly overpowered for PvE.

@PLOXZO You go to the bottom of darkroot, where you kill the hydra and then you can go up the ladder, there you will enter the other side of that forest (where you can find the enchanted ember and the forest covenant). And there you can find this boss too.
PS Before entering that part you'll have to fight three cat-like creatures

@EpicNameBro in a past video you mention about your armour being upgraded to a soul level of 30 or something.. did you mean like +30 from upgrading with titanite shards and stuff? I've only recently found out about dark souls and have played it for a while. I see a lot of people with much different levels like not putting any in resistance. Also the flip roll which I have no idea about. I would love for you to fill me in on things like best places to put levels. If you have time. If not, Nvm :)

@Chickenov123 Some of my armor was upgraded (10 is the max, though). The ring that lets you flip is the Dark Wood Grain Ring, and I have a vid about it.
For levels, get the stats you need for the equipment you want, then increase Endurance as your top priority and Vitality as your second priority. WIthout knowing which weapons or spells you like, I can't be more specific.

Go to where the fire keeper was at Fire Link Shrine and you will get the Black Eye Orb. Then go through Sen's Fortress. In the next place, Anor Londo, you will have a chance to use the Black Eye Orb (the game will tell you to). You will then fight 1v3 against NPCs. If you win, you will get the Soul that you need to revive the Fire Keeper at Fire Link Shrine. Also, Sen's and Anor Londo is the next place for you in the story after the bells

I just noticed soemthing. I never use lock on. Will this impare me later in the game? I came from Monster Hunter, and you have a horrible camera in that game (Come on hunters, admit it) and you had to always track your target without a lockon, and I've started doing that here, and I'm afraid this will lead to me being screwed later on, even though right now I can fight enemies just as easily as shown in videos and such.

@Blahhikablah There are some boss attacks that you'll have difficulty blocking manually (you have to be aimed just right or they'll hit you)... BUT you don't HAVE to block them. If you can dodge around with no problems, you'll be fine.
If you want to be, the VERY best... the best that ever was... then you should learn to use with and without. But it's not a big deal, so don't worry.

This is my 1st playtrough, so I wont be able to join the club. But I have Havel's armor and Havel's Greatshield + 2 and Great Dragon Axe + 1 and I can move. Should I use them or light armor all the way?
