Kid hasnt looked the same since he fought in HEROES. Omigawa was given a very bad matchup stylistically for his UFC FW debut, but I'm confident he'll rebound and do well in the UFC. Akiyama is a natural WW and has abandoned his judo to put on brawls for the fans.

The best Japanese fighter at the moment is Hioki, I have no doubt Hioki would beat every UFC FW, even Aldo.

@Crazytribe I agree. I have add in Gomi's defense, without the knees on the ground, his fight rhythm gets changed considerably. It's the same reason why a lot of fighters that crossed over from Pride to UFC and vice versa ended up on the short end of the stick because they ended up playing by rules that were changed for them, but their opponents were used to. I.E. if you're used to defending a strike flurry by dropping and grabbing for legs, you were often in for a big knee surprise in Pride..

I hate how alot of UFC fans hate on the Japanese fighters, cause with a few exceptions they typically havent done well in the UFC.

Problem is none of them start in the UFC, they dont get famous enough until they are near or passed their prime.

I would have loved to see The Fireball Kid and Kid Yamamoto in the UFC at a much younger age...but I still think they will both do well.
