thx for replying so soon buddy . so stance plays a big part in cte aiming approach .the one with parallel shift works pretty fine with my stance except some thin long cut shots , probabaly my stroke sucks , didnt mean to be fussy , just wanted to make sure i am doing the right thing, cos cte rocks , it works like magic .so thanks again for sharing the info, u r a legend .by the way , can u bank with cte ??anychance making a video on banking ???
@trematric i use classic snooker style stance , where my legs placed squared behind the shot line ,unlike urs side on stance . -
If so then the information in this video probably won't help you. This one was done in an attempt to show my friend what I do with no intention of saying that everyone else should use it. CTE will change the way you play so approach it carefully.
@trematric I have a snooker stance and I shoot with CTE principles. I do Stan Shuffett's way of shooting with CTE which is sighting it then getting into stance.
for example , if i am cutting a ball to the left ,i placed my big toe on the cte line ,then i placed my bridge hand on the line , my knuckle to be precise ,but then my cue tip naturally points towards the rightside of the cue ball whereas in ur case ur tip pointing towards the left side of the cue ball prior pivot. if i force myself to point my cue tip towards left , my elbow sticks way outside the line and then if i pivot i over cut the ball.
hi there , in - ' CTE finding the aiming line ' video u did a parallel shift to initial center to edge line and then placed ur big toe of ur feet on that line and then pivot to center, but in this video u placed ur big toe on center to edge line and then pivoted to center ball shot . so which one should i follow ??parallel shift was ok for me as i started to pot a lot of balls , but i am having problem with this method specially pivoting to center ball part , i m overcutting the balls.
If what you were doing was working then don't change it. I am only reporting what's working for me. In the video you refer to I said that the pivot point is at my toe and I still think that this is true. I need to go back and review that video as it was about a year ago or so when I made it.
for #1. Actually thin cuts are less affected by (contact induced) throw than thick shots. For me personally though I don't even think about throw when I play. For whatever reason when I use CTE throw never enters my head except in some very limited situations where I am TRYING to throw the object ball because it's the right shot.
#2. I don't need to look at the pocket. I know where it is and I know my line is right. I focus on my delivery.
sandals - are you kidding?

@Ignatzberlin :-) Those aren't sandals, they are Birkenstocks and Birks are the essence of life......

@rsrossi LOL Jesus beat me, taught me CTE and told me to go forth and tell the world about it.

This the best one you've done so far. I can't wait to get to a table. 2 points
1) long thin cuts are affected by throw according to the experts, Ghost or CTE aiming can't overcome physics
2) If you line up the CTEL correctly, place your hand correctly, do you ever need to look at the pocket?
