  • sweet man

  • yamaha sleds r only good with turbo other wise they suck and r to heavy

  • @jackassboyz666 Really?! How much does your sled weigh jackass!?

  • @saskatoonsafetyguy ive got a ski-doo summit xp so alot lighter then this

  • @saskatoonsafetyguy ive got a ski-doo summit xp so alot lighter then this

  • that looks scary as hell

  • lol

I was waiting for him to go up the other gorge ;)

  • wow must be scary coming down.

  • hahaha I know where that is

  • why no more apex MTX

  • never had a apex mtx

  • i mean why dont yammi make them anymore

  • they do make a trail version with power steering now. but I think they relized it was to heavy for the mountains to keep up with other sleds

  • I hope you guys have had your avalanche training

  • That looks like a fucking beautiful place to ride.

And I bet that hill is 10x as steep as it appears in the video.

  • @launchpaad88 it is!!!!!

  • holy track poacher int he spring...

  • whats the waste gate on these things cause the bar and psi match up with some mitsubishi turbos on cars and i was thinkin about doin everything myself? any ideas

  • just a garret turbo GT2860 setup on most yamahas. then an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and new mapping for your fuel.

  • How much do you weigh cause aint those Yammys heavy as HELL> I ride an R6 so I dont hate YAmmy but for a sled why buy one. I see it has lots of powder but no one I know rides a Apex except for the dealers its all XP or M8s then Dragons. If we get into some tight boondocking I highly doubt you could keep up. Just to tight for a heavy sled.

  • haha, challenge you to a tree ride.

  • Deal I ride a 2010 m8 with a can on it. It weighs 452 dry weight since I shaved 12 LBS off the front end with a can. We ride in Nelson area so our mountains are not as high but WAY tighter than what you get in Cranbrook. Your more than welcome t come out . Your sled is 200 cc more than mine with a turbo so no doubt you should get up faster. But you can try and beat my friend Cory threw the trees cause he has an m8 as well with a boondocker turbo on it. Only dealers ride YAmmys here.

  • My old sled was a 98 SRX triple piped ported and bored 100 over with a light wight tunnel , skiis and hood. Wasnt even a four stroke and was heavy as hell. Had that sled for 8 years. Now riding a 2010 M8. Ive ridden my friends R1 turbo pushing 300 HP. But no way could I do what I do on my m8 with his R1 turbo. except maybe chutes and big hills.

  • if only dealers are riding the yamahas, then how are they making any money and staying open?

  • Their not actually Barrett Honda in Fruitvale cant even pay two have two techs on. They are closed two days a week. Honestly around here it is XP M8 then Dragons. Ive seen one Yammy all year and I ride every weekend in the Norns , Goose Creek, Redfish,

  • @IveGotTheNuts Come on out with us and we will show you what a turboed Yamaha will do!

  • @saskatoonsafetyguy Dude I lve iN Nelson BC we ride steep tight trees here. Your TURBOS are for hill climbs and chutes. Where I ride a 700 LB sled is no good trust me. That is why Burandt and Brett Rasmussen ride stock 800 m8. Go watch ther trailer for schooled and tell me you could throw around 700 LBS like that LMAO> turbos are for hill climbs and chutes. Not boondocking in the trees like where we ride. And coming from a guy from SAkatchewan get real . Born bred BC sledding 15 years

  • @IveGotTheNuts You assume that someone from Saskatoon was born and raised there? Bad assumption dude! I am also from the BC Rockies and I also have spent many a day in the mountains. My first real mountain sled was a 1981 SRX with a rolled chaincase and bolt on plastic paddles. With your vast experiance I'm sure you remember those hard plastic paddles! Anyway in my opinion anyone who takes an obese 700lb sled to the mountains should have their heads examined My sled weighs in at 542lbs @365hp.

  • @saskatoonsafetyguy Kool nice sled but seriously 600 LBS with that much power and front end weight we wuld be just digging you out every 10 minutes in OUR TREES> . Trees are to tight here to use that sled where we ride or everyone would ride one. Peeps in Revy Golden like them cause they do big straight climbs and chutes. Man offer is open come to the West Kootneys where the trees are tight as FUCK and deep as hell.

  • @IveGotTheNuts I never ride in Revy or Golden so I wouldn't know about their tree conditions. I ride in Hazler, Beaver Creek, Powder King, Silver Sands, Red Deer Falls and Kakwa. All these areas are in BC Rockies and all have trees, however where the real climbing starts we are above the tree line. Believe me 542lbs (not 600) feels a lot lighter than that when you have 365hp. Check out the hill climbing monster cory rides in the latest Mountain Mod Mania to see a turbo slay the hills!

  • @saskatoonsafetyguy Actually stock Apex is like 625 LBS. For 53 000 dollars you can get an m8 with a twisted turbo for under 22 000. Two sleds for the price you paid for one. Look if 4 strokes were any good , Burandt, Rasmussen would ride them . They are the best sledders in the world . No one out here rides 4 strokes except the dealers. I guess the best sledders in the world do not know crap either. Again 4 strokes are for chutes and going strait. . Im intot trees and boondocking.

  • @IveGotTheNuts Like I said anyone who takes a Stock Obese Apex to the mountains is crazy. You like boondocking through trees I like climbing, All I'm saying is potatoe Patotoe. What is with the slamming other peoples Iron just because it doesn't suit your riding style? As far as the best riders in the world go? I would have to say the best mountain riders on the planet will never appear in a video marketed to weekend warriors who watch them onece and put them on a shelf.

  • @IveGotTheNuts You can check out my Video from last year on Saskatoon safety guy. Turboed Yamaha kills the hills.

  • @saskatoonsafetyguy No question it kills hills. But really what is so fun about pointing a sled up a hill. IMO. Id rather be lost in thre trees picking a line up. I dunno I guess if your from the prairies then going straight is all ur used . Again IMO.

  • @IveGotTheNuts Of course to each their own. I was just in Nelson last July riding with a group of bikes that included an Arlen Ness Victory Vegas Jackpot, a Suzuki V strom, A Honda CBR 990 Crotch rocket, a Honda shadow 750, a HD Decker and a HD Dyna. We all love to ride and we all motorcycle instructors.

My point is that we don't care what you ride, AS LONG AS YOU RIDE! We would never put down a student cause they ride a machine that is different from our style.

    Same goes for sleds.

  • um on not completely sold on the hole turbo thing i really like the skidoos but looks like fun riding in that area

  • Listen to it, you can hear the turbo

  • its nitrous oxide

  • haha what? no need for NOS on these.

  • haha i was just kidding, its my favorite compound so i thought i would just say it

  • what is it an apex

  • Nytro with MCX

  • that thing could climb a wall lol

  • i love the sound of a turbo

  • that one has a fmf exhaust for a R1 street bike on it.
