BOOO!! BOOO!!! THIS SUCKS! AND YOU SUCK!! GO DIE! TAKE YOUR STUPID CAMERA AND DIE!! hahah no im kiddin yall im kiddin this is great i like this, i REALLY want one of these cameras but i heard they were like 3 grand!!!
hi, i have an eos 60D & it can shoot impressive video quality & i'm considering using it for wedding videos with 50mm f1.4 & 24-70mm f2.8L lens. how long is the possible continues recording with this set up before it overheats? thanks!
@davidozone guys at lucasfilm did an entire shortfilm on a 7d and it opened at festival de cannes this last year... so yeah I'd say if people like that don't mind working with it a no name like you should be ecstatic to try it out.
Great shots. The 5D is really amazing. I just did a tutorial on 5D Filmmaking with a GlideTrack, Fluid Head, Rode Video Mic and a few different lenses (28-135mm and a 50mm).
can somebody tell me how can I edit canon .MOV? or perhaps what's the best converter for canon's video? I'm going to import it to premiere pro.. I'm using windows
@orika001 you should be able to edit in that.. you just edit them in .mov but then when you are finished with the video you can export/save it as a h.256 or .wav or whatever you want
Nice, but the shot at 0.19 says how crap the 5d mk11 can be , look at the state of the windows outside , all jagged and horrible, I think something like the new panasonic 101 will fix this for a few grand more!
I like how you said you just randomly did it and used words like "tossed" and "whipped". That is an indication you are hiding. Some of these edits needed to be timed right i.e. the jogging girl and others. This took longer then 20 min. Considering slow-mo duration alignment. UNLESS the shots were already sliced perfectly before you tossed them in. You're already decent taking shots, you didn't have to make yourself sound better then you actually are. Not everyones a dumb shit. Keep it real.
Hey, I love your work. They look gorgeous. I have a question. How do you get those very soft look to your footage? I shoots in 7D but my footage always look very hard and aliased...
@UnaccountedVariable shut the fuck up ...you know nothing about the film making for television or feature film experience.. and by that comment you dont understand how difficult complicated it all becomes regardless what the music score is ...get fucked you amateur you know fuck all ...
i got a question, i was wondering what kind of material you use to move in the video in such a proffesional way. i really want to buy that material for my camera because it makes the movie so much better.
@KLVNW well, there are some ppl use tripod but that's not gonna help you out when you wanna move around a little to make a clip like this. In that case, you'll need something like "Zacuto DSLR Gunstock Shooter", try google it. I really want it but it's a bit pricey for me since shooting video with my Mark II isn't my main aim. Hope that helps!
very nice , but at 0;19 when the guy is looking out the window on the phone , what are those jagged lines on the window details? this is exactly the problem I am getting with my 5d . is it normal?
So this is all Canon 5D Mark II? I'm very impressed I underestimated it's capabilities. I am an actor and have been trying to start shooting my own stuff, A friend purchased this and I saw a short video shot in it, and it must have had a DP who had no idea what the hell he was doing because your shots are amazing, and the lighting is magnifique!
yeah everything looks nice, you cant see the rolling shutter messing up everything bcoz the camera movements are slow as fuck...try to film something like cloverfield with 7D or this one...it will be a fucking earthquake coz of the aliasing, rolling shutter, the noise in the blacks.... its bullshit.
Way Cool. But I still have a lil difficulty with the colorization of video with the Mark II. If I could get the look of Spike Lee's Mo Better Blues title sequence it would be great.
hey man, great video! i always wondered how to do that "dip to white" kind of transition you do like in 0:48. it does not seem like a preset of a transition, or is it?

@007Fortis Check out Canon Rumor dot com and there is rumors that a 5D Mark III is in the works ...but who really knows. I would keep an eye on the 5D Mark II prices (see if they drop dramatically or go on sale) to perhaps give some indication that a new model might be coming out.
I'm always astounded how much interest this video has generated. We shot this mainly with the Canon 5D II and several Prime lenses (mainly Nikons w/Canon adapter ring). A lot of 50mm but also a 45 tilt/shift, 20mm and 14mm.
There was no blur in post or anything. All in camera with color correction in FCP.
I always get questions on incamera settings. No contrast, slight desaturation, gamma levels more toward light than dark. That's it.
if i may ask what kind of lenses did you use...very beautiful work with the 5D, i just ordered my 5D 3 days ago with the 24-105mm standard zoom lens, since im broke now, that will have to suffice until i can get more money for more lenses
Do you have any tips for the picture settings using this camera? Do you ever lower the contrast or tweak sharpness settings? Also you have some wonderful movement in many of these shots? Did you set up track for these? Great job!
Just astounding. I love the work you have done there. It would of been nice to have more of a piano and strings type sound with the same sound as what was in this video but toward the end build up to something that has more of a minor scale sound to it but at the end keep building up the intensity but change to a major (more positive outcome like sound) and then end there. But that is just my dollar twenty on that. Very amazed with this video.
