  • please do lotr by the way its amazing i play the trombone this makes me sound like i'm horrible

  • OMG Man your the best. You just got a sub. You should do the LoTR Isengrad theme!

  • when you were doing the multi tracking, did you consider listening to the previous parts' recordings while playing so you'd have something to tune to? Or perhaps just playing over a drone in headphones and tuning to that. But still a really great arrangement, and good playing except the intonation. Your technicality is pretty impressive

  • It's really good but to many minor cords

  • @mclovindailey shuddup phoo

  • @Magzillas Thanks a lot. :)

  • I wonder how many people who complain about pitch know about multitracking themselves. Playing trombone with other people is easy because you can sort of tune yourself on the fly with subtle slide manipulations. Playing each party individually and stacking them together hoping that they're in tune takes balls, and I still think this sounds hella epic.

  • Nice :) I would really like to have the arrangement. Can you send it to me? (I play trombone myself too)

PS: Sorry for my bad english...

  • @Tuxgui He put the arrangement in the description because he's awesome.

  • Very well done. I would have aranged it differently. But very well done.

  • 1:05 WTF !?!?!?!?

  • Have you done this by ear? o.O

Aside from the obvious wrong notes here and there, that's fantasticly well done! Must've taken an age.

  • i admire your arranging skills, now go practice some more and your golden.

  • sooo... playing trombone does come in handy!

  • Dude that was awesome. There were those intonation things with those pesky 3rd and 4th positions at times, but even you realize that.

Great upper and lower sound. You're braver than I with multi tracking!

  • wow...I really like this

    good job!

  • Did you record this by yourself four different times? Or with an ensemble?

  • @NicktheGuitaristz I played each part by myself and added them together in audacity.

  • I would have to say that individually you guys didn't sound bad but when you guys hit a chord sometimes it would sound pretty off. Other than, it was pretty good, but don't loose control of the tonal center when you're letting loose. Loud is only good if its controlled, then it's badass :).

  • @mirro379 funny you should put it that way, it's actually multitracked so I was just playing each part by itself. you're right though I could have played this better, especially the loud parts, although it's sort of hard to make the chords blend well when all I can hear is a metronome. I'll just have to try to make it sound better the next time I do this

  • @MrSURESHOT117 its cut time; meaning everything is cut in half... whole=half...quarter=eighth....so on

  • if this had been played correctly it would be AWESOME but sadly it sounded terrible. yea that comment could be considered rude, but im being honest. most of this was ok though, i guess.

  • @easy236 not rude, just stupid. What exactly sounded terrible? I know about the pitch issues, but was it dynamics? Style? Balance? Articulations? I think I did all of those things well, especially considering I arranged this. If you're going to say it was bad at least say why.

  • @tenorbrasswindplayer I think what @easy236 is saying is that everything about it style wise and stuff like that, it's fine. But without pitch you have noise. Parts of it are EXTREMELY out there...

  • @easy236 are you serious? what was wrong with it? im with tenorbrasswindplayer, be specific.

  • @easy236 Where is your video/arrangement of you playing this? yeah. That's right. If you are going to be a critic, then tell them what to improve.

  • amazing. i am a 9th grade trombone player and i play with the upper class men, they are interested in the, thank you :) great piece and good arrangement. good job :)

  • nice arrangement!

Interestingly, this one theme that pops up at about :35 when you present it in such a bare and stark way, sounds interestingly similar to a theme for an orchestral piece I composed when I was about 17.

Anyway- nice work- there are some really nice moments in here!

  • No joke - the reverb effect makes this sound pretty darn cool.

  • pure genius
