That's what our Thunderbolts have been replaced with. I think the Thunderbolts are louder as they tend to hurt the ears when they point your direction. However, the T-128's are pretty good too and have battery back-up. I'd rather have the T-135 though. Louder is better.
@theogt821 I dunno, I've heard multiple Thunderbolts and T-128s in person, and I feel the T-128 is louder. The sound isn't as harsh, however, which ASC pointed out in an old news article. Regardless, it is a shame to see all the older sirens replaced, but I think the Tempest sirens are the best ones still made.
@JustInn014 That might be true. The Thunderbolt in my neighborhood seemed louder, but maybe it was because of the pitch (level 4). The siren in my neighborhood is two blocks from my house, and if you were outside when the Thunderbolt pointed your direction you'd have to plug your ears as it was too much for them. The T-128 doesn't seem to do that as much, but you can at least hear it when it goes off. I don't like the electronic Whelens as they are sometimes hard to hear.
@Thewoog34 Much agree. The sirens have a certain distance that they will cover of course. If it can point that direction long enough they will know the difference.

Wow a 1-RPM rotation
Archon2561 10 months ago
@Archon2561 Looks more like 1.5 RPM

It's somewhere around 1 or 1.5 RPM I think. It works out well, but I wouldn't set any siren to rotate slower than 1 RPM.

@JustInn014 A slower rotation is better. If the siren is in attack, people from far away can actually tell.
