As I bassist,I must say that the 3 bassist of Jamiroquai have made wonderful contributions to the band:Stuart has the hearth and genuis,Nick has the knowledge and technique and Paul has the experience and wisdom.But,Stu is my favorite one.
Theres a reason theres so much turnover with this band, and its naive to think it has nothing to do with the only original member left who happens to be the lead singer

What a wonderful song! Jamiroquai are dead at the beginning of 2000, when Stu left the band, followed by Toby and Wallis. Old Jamiroquai formation was the best as possible. Seems really over complicated, i cant connect to it, and its pretty much all about Mr K and his priviliged life. this little gem about flippin bananas has been in my head all day. @Notjustbonez This is a great idea! I'm still laughing my ass off about the poncho! The monkey gets the poncho and the hat! Teach him to scat and move around the floor. Don't let him buy a Lamborghini, Porsche, or a helicopter. We don't want him to become a prima donna and ruin the lineup!!

@znoriman Now that you mention it, aren't there reports that Stu and Toby have started hanging out together again? Also, from what I read, Stu is still in contact with Simon Katz and DJ D-Zire. Heck, Wallis still hangs out with Derrick too.
Why does it seem like old Jamiroquai could totally reincarnate if it wasn't for Jay Kay preventing that from ever happening? Hmm....

@Incog2k6 I think the same too, jamiroquai could be back without Jay and the current members (dont get me wrong, they ar good), but at this point we could have the whole previous band together, a band that we all liked

Bought the new Jamiroquai album today, listened to it mainly on fast forward. Seems really over complicated, i cant connect to it, and its pretty much all about Mr K and his priviliged life. this little gem about flippin bananas has been in my head all day. This song has got loads of mileage! And the best bass line I've heard in ages.
Ironically I hate bananas.
