Difference is that the Muslims who go to Afghanistan to potentially fight UK troops, are little more than traitors, whereas the Jews going to Israel are fighting in a conflict which is of no interest to the UK. If UK Xtians were acting like some in the Muslim population then they might be jumping up & down to join with the Jews on a new Crusade, but we have moved on from the Dark / Middle ages, which is why the UK/US helped Kosovan Muslims against Xtians in the belief it was the right thing :p

Hamas is not a "terrorist group", it's the democratically elected government of Gaza. Israel has one of the best equipped armies in the world plus a police force, both of which operate illegally according to international law. Palestinians also have a right to defend themselves and Hamas provides that defence.

Nelson Mandela was also labelled a "terrorist" by western governments in the 1980s, and the IRA was only classified a terrorist organisation by the USA when it wanted the EU to label certain Muslims as "terrorists". Labelling groups as terrorists is a fickle meaningless process, especially coming from a country like the US which has inflicted terrorism on Iraq, Afghanistan and numerous other countries.
