  • wow, where to begin.....the dipping thing is great. i love moves that are worthless and a waste of time. also, did she say knees to chest??, what an idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • As long as its safe and affective who cares!

  • @craigebowles1 love you! :)

  • Changing the title doesn't change CONTRAINDICATIONS is what is being done here. You shouldn't do "indoors" what you wouldn't do OUTDOORS on a bike. Period. Indoor cycling isn't complicated.

In this business for yrs. Stupidity comes in abundance. No real brain cells required for certification. CONTRAINDICATIONS were created by idiots to divert the attention from them " since their profile designs usually SUCK!

This facility can't use "SPINNING" TRADEMARK. They will be sued!!!

  • @NATURALDIVA4LIFE settle dowwwwwwwwwwwwn. Jeez.

  • @jennamp57

NO need for me to settle down and my opinion is just that.

This is how members end up screwing themselves (capable tunnel, knee & back issues, etc) because an idiot bought a certificate. She and instructor's like this are incapable of giving an EFFECTIVE CLASS!!!!

  • @NATURALDIVA4LIFE maybe you should SPIN more :) I hear exercise releases a lot of stress & tension a person carries around.

  • @BlondieonBlack

I should spin more? I could spin you under the table in or outdoors. Get a grip. You couldn't work at my facility lacking skills.

  • @NATURALDIVA4LIFE okay well I don't think I could work at any facility beings how I am not a trainer, I am a customer. And now I know I wouldn't ever visit one of your classes because to me a trainer is about attitude & positivity (as well as other things). you would make me want to quit your class. Sorry but it IS my own opinion just like you are giving.

  • @BlondieonBlack I SEE NOBODY IS HOME....BYE

  • @BlondieonBlack When your curtains doesn't match the carpet, does he still.....

  • @NYSCNYC 1st I don't even know what that's supposed to mean and 2nd to qoute YOU "IF YOUR COMMENT ISN'T POSTIVE, DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING AT ALL" from your homepage. I hope you both have a fantastic day and are enjoying the great weather :)

  • @NATURALDIVA4LIFE if I ever felt what a trainer was doing in a class wasn't right for my body then I would NOT do it. Lots of times I sit & cycle when they do the push ups.

  • I do not comment on videos but had to for this one. I'm really dissapointed with all the verbal put downs between Certified Instructors. I would never speak this way to someone in class or out of class. Please remember that people are reading your comments .. good and bad. Be respectful. And to the viewers out there. Remember to listen to your body ~ Be Safe ~ and if it feels unsafe .. ask someone you can trust..doctor ect ~ Have fun and ride on!

  • Adding onto what I just said....also if you question any moves...ask a Certified Personal Trainer. Make sure they are truly certified...

  • @IloveCouplesResorts mad respect for you. Thanks for being awesome :) I appreciate your input. xox

  • I am sorry that you took my remark to be critial. I teach as I was taught... and no rules are not to be broken..safety should always be taken into consideration. I am a spinning instructor and "preach" so to speak the five moves on an actual "spin bike". If this is indoor cycling then so be it, you can do what you want, but if you are calling it spinning... it's totally wrong. Big difference between the two! I'd rather have people come ot my class and learn the right way.

  • @Blondiebikerchick nothing in my class is unsafe. I do see where you are coming from and appreciate your concern. No one has ever been hurt on my watch in the 6 years I've been a trainer. I changed the title of the video because it's not a big deal to me. Hope you're happy! :) The most important thing in my class is that people listen to their bodies - which they all do very well - and secondly, that they have fun - which they always do. Peace.

  • I have to agree.. this is so totally NOT spinning... these moves are not allowed on the bike in a real spin class...

  • @Blondiebikerchick rules are made to be broken. Well behaved women NEVER make history. My class is off the hook.

  • @Blondiebikerchick odd because we do these moves in my SPIN class all the time

  • @BlondieonBlack right?! You're rad, that's why! :)

  • @jennamp57 Back Atcha babe! LOL

  • Nice class! Looks fun:) Great music!

  • Nice class, good energy! I have went to regular Johnny G spin classes and almost fell asleep. It's nice when the instructor knows what an "8" count is. It gives the class a flow and helps you get through all of the hills and flats. Before you know it, the class is over and you had a great time without constantly looking at the clock.

  • @cmcil LOVE you :)

  • Looks like so much fun:-) What that computer thing next to you?

  • i really dont understand this, why are people so quick to critisise? im also a spinning instructor and i found that motivating and it looked enjoyable. There is nothing wrong with being different from other instructors. good work keep it up

  • @l20rdf Thanks! You equal awesome! :) I'm happy you see the benefit of mixing it up. If every single "spin" instructor taught the same way it would be silly. People criticize because change is scary for them.

  • @l20rdf LOVE YOU! :)

  • That rocking back and forth around 1:05 is just a waste of energy, really poor cycling form. I suppose inefficieny makes it more "intense," but not conducive to efficient cycling.

Then again I see why you call it a "spin" class.

  • I am sure you're a great and fun person, that's why you have people doing your class. No doubt. Doing CONTRAINDICATED MOVES are a risk and there's no benefits. People who are not Spin trained don't know any better, so you as an instructor, should guide and keep them safe. I also know that often the safest, most effective and best taught classes are not the highest attended. How many of you teach at facilities where the fullest classes are the ones where the instructor employs the most CI moves?

  • the trouble with push ups is that they dont add any benefit whatsover and I personally see no reason why they would form part of any programme, Some instructors feel the need to add such movements because they think their clients are bored..this is nonsense as with great music, delivery and visulisation this certainly should nto be the case. I have seen press ups peformed in a standing position, bars get slippery and people can and have slipped causing injury. Its a point of view thats all.

  • @thetobester8 You NAILED it! I totally agree with you.

  • What's the monitor beside you and what you are looking during the class?

  • @akuttaa it's the volume and lighting control panel. Kinda makes me feel like a boss. :)

  • I always come up with resistance from the instructors who actually think aerobics on an indoor stationary bike that doesn't move is fine in the name of "fitness"... They don't know what to do to challenge their students if they don't do these moves. Unsafe moves on an indoor bike isn't about being a "cyclist" or not. They're unsafe or inefficient regardless of whether you ride outside or not. Biomechanics is biomechanics. Rule of thumb: if you wouldn't do it outdoors, don't do it indoors.

  • What's with doing push ups on bar? Indoor spin is just plain outdoor riding. I despise instructors who combine aerobic on spin bikes. It goes to show the instructor doesn't have confident bringing normal outdoor riding indoor because they're afraid the members might bored. Aerobics should be done on the floor, not on the bike. Keep it REAL.

  • @airinfuad FYI, indoor cycling is totally different than outdoor riding. You "despise" people? What a waste of energy. Haters actually just hate themselves. Have a nice life and proofread your comments before you post them. Your typos, incomplete sentences and incorrect grammar usage are eye sores. :)

  • @jennamp57 Your defense comes out like this: "I make ad hominem attacks"

  • @airinfuad You got it so right????? Push ups on a bike..WHY???

Do it on the floor......Dancing on the bike....locks out the knees

Im glad you get it.........One of few....

  • @airinfuad hahaha! I would kick your ASS in my "spin" class. I keep it REAL fun and everyone gets drenched and shredded from my class. You have no idea what you're talking about and you know nothing about me as an instructor. People fight over bikes to ride with me. Take my class and then talk shit. I do appreciate your opinion though. You're fully entitled to it.

  • @jennamp57 Passive-aggressive much?

  • Agree with Jenna - This is NOT outdoor riding. THIS IS SPIN!

  • @eaglecu you rock! Thanks for the props :)

  • @airinfuad You're an idiot. Spin is totally different than outdoor riding, the benifit of being stationary is that you use other muscles you wouldn't get a chance at using when riding outside. It's the resistance that helps burn calories, so things like doing pushups, using weights adds that extra challange that you wouldn't get riding outside.

  • Whenever you bring weight on your arms (call that a push-up if it makes you feel good!) that's body weight that is not over the pedals and therefore you are loosing power for your legs to push the resistance!

I believe there is many ways to entertain without getting to the "push-ups" (visualization, karaoke spin, races within the group and relays are all examples)

There is a place for everything but trying to combine spinning and bodysculpt is as dumb as trying to kite surf in the pool...!

    Goo

  • @vincentbeaurivage hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! Oh man..........

  • im right here jake cooper-guinness england kingslynn norfolk

  • @XtremeSpinning hahaha! You're so rad and amazing! Thanks for the props. I concur.. Way too many boring instructors out there. I'm all about mixing it up because I get bored teaching the same stuff over and over again. I always get creative on the bike. It makes it more fun for EVERYONE! :) I encourage everyone to dance around, let go of their fears, and get in touch with the music while they spin. People feel sexy in my classes :)

  • @PersonalTrainerUK totally give it a try! I was terrified of spinning before my first class. The trick is finding an awesome instructor who motivates you and plays music that pumps you up. They're out there! It might take some investigating though! :)

  • @EdEsposito hahahahaha :) xox

  • What Jenna gets......unlike most typical and boring spinning 101 masters is............

Being inovative and creative and understanding the spin bike is and exercise machine !!!!

Omg.....you can do push ups safely on a exercise machine bike. Adding a little flavor to add more taste to a clas is fine ..

Learn to think outside the box spinning 101 nerds

  • Looks like it was a great class!

Spinning has never been my forte, but might give it a try!

    Tom

  • " If your core is tight and your knees are forward" WTF?? Where did you learn your should be tight in Spinning?

  • @lindabuford I'm happy that your classes are all packed out. I want everyone to succeed. The "push-ups" I do in my class OBVIOUSLY aren't true push-ups & the intent is not for maximum muscle gain. What you don't see is the other stuff we do sitting all the way up. What u DO see is just a sample. You can't judge an entire class in a 90 second video. I have fun on the bike & I balance out my "imbalances" during other songs. My classes are ALWAYS packed :) But, who's counting? Having fun is #1!!!

  • You're class looks super exciting and fun! And the music is awesome!! But, sorry, have to agree, no push-ups on the bikes. It's simply NOT a push-up. And as a personal trainer, I can assure you that there is very little, if any, muscular gain in that movement. Also, ever notice that you are going down on the same lead leg on every "push up"..... creating an imbalance..... more rhythmic, balancing the load works better! I teach too.... 12 classes a week....all packed out too!!

  • Thanks, leeleemeimei! It's so super fun! Everybody always has a good time (and their bodies are looking FAB for summer already! haha)!

  • I am a spin instructor as well, and I agree with jennamp57. If your core is tight and your knees are forward, you can do push-ups on the bike. And the music did sound great! Looks like a fun class!

  • HAHA! Stupid as in stupidly AWESOME! You shouldn't make judgements about something you know nothing about, SON! Why would you neglect your arms? The pushups are a fraction of the upper body stuff we do. I work the ENTIRE body in my class. My class is the ISH and everyone who takes it LOOOOOOOVES it. People literally fight over bikes. Come take my class and we'll see who talks shit then, sucka! ROASTED!!!

  • stupid spin class. no need to do push ups on the bike.

  • Music is everything in a class! It can make or break it for sure. People always tell me I have the best music :)
