i think this was just killed by synth...i find synth to be really annoying when a piece is built around it..but Walfredo Reyes is such a master of latin percussion that this still sounded cool, and then the bass solo was just pure sex...but, piano wouldve been a better choice.

Drums * Perc video.... I always thought this was the worst thing Weckl ever did. He is not a good example of a drummer that works well with a percussionist, he's too busy for that IMO. He is an all-time fave of mine, but not like this!

Notice he is playing the "butt-end" of the left stick...for the deeper tone and a bit louder snare stroke. And gotta love his "groove"....tight and just enough fills to keep it lively and interesting but still let it "breathe".
