  • Glad you came out of that alright. That announcer was right, imagine if you weren't wearing a helmet...

  • i love how the music is all happy and than when he crashes it just stops vote up!

  • My beats are icky...

  • Helmets save lives!!!

  • That was a crazy slam, bro! I'm glad to see you were okay after taking one of those to the head. I only raced BITD, but I did give the ole' 1/4 a try once... I launched about 2' over the top and about 5' out from the ramp! Needless to say, I never rode one again!

And that was an awesome TA XL, too! The kids these days have no idea! (in reference to damnfools2 statement) I mostly rode HUTCH frame and forks all throughout the 80's, but I always loved the SKYWAY TA! I mean, who didn't?!

  • so wutts you ridin old school GT?

  • Nope, Skyway TA XL, with VDC Freestyle Forks and of course VDC Woody Itson Freestyle bars

  • The problem was we rode ramps with 8 foot tranny, not like the ramps today with 10 foot tranny.

  • Ha ha the announcer "The first fall down and go boom of the day".

  • Epic Faceplant :P

  • That was harsh man!!

Good job you had a full face on eh!!

  • The helmets back then were big and heavy.

  • I was wearing a Bell Moto 4, it was a dirt motorcycle helmet, so you are right it was heavy.

  • My Moto 4 has taken a few hits like that too! Still have it, wouldn't part with it, and yours saved your life right there dude! They were big and heavy for a reason! Glad to see you wavin' at the end - do you remember that though?! Great slam!

    G

  • Thanks! I do remember waiving and I remember sliding out the air just before I crashed, but I don't remember anything else from my run.

  • Thanks. It took a few months to recover from the concussion, but no broken bones.

  • It is called Square Dance Rap, by Sir Mix-A-Lot.

  • that was tuff

  • Its a good thing you had the helmet on! Was it just that ramp you were having a prob on?? Cause everything else looked great!

  • No not really, I use to get to practice on the Skyway ramp a few times during the year when they set it up at Foster City Bicycles. I had rode the Badlands skatepark the day before since I did not get down to the LA area much and it was a combination of riding the pool with all the vert and just having a bad day. When I come back into the ramp I hang up which is where it all starts to go bad.

  • AH, its the same with horses, usually if you knock one rail in jumping your day just seems to spiral downhill!

  • that was a pretty hot lookback before you bailed man. big ups!

  • now that was the fukd up thingy ive seen all day but why didnt they take off the fukin helmet WHY??????????????

  • ... If he broken his neck they would rather leave him with it on till they get to the hosipital and have a bettr undertsanding of him..

  • ok then thts all i was askin repects for tellin me why they didnt take it off

  • its alright :)

  • the squaredance rap class

  • Now imagine that w/ an open face helmet.

    Falling sucks

  • you actually went over the coping! lots better than me, i would still be below the coping, awesome.

  • ayayau mierda!

  • thats gota hurt but nice skillz for 1986

  • Thanks man, I had a good bag of tricks, but unfortunately I did not get to do them, lol. I came in 29 out of 34 people.
