@mracampa23 usually not. i have seen other types of sunfish being sold at my local fish stores. i think the last time i saw some they were pumpkin seed sunfish. normally to get blugills you have to go catch them out of a lake
@LilShortAznKiddo ummmm... the pond was like $70 i think, the UV sterilizer was about $100, the pump i got free (but for the size they usually go for about $50-$80)
lol... the thought crossed my mind. i have a customer who goes lake fishing for bass. was thinking of asking him to get me some next time he goes. or i was thinking of putting a good old fashion american snapping turtle haha
I got them from the petsmart I work at. every once and a while we get one or two in with our feeder fish, but one day we got close to 60 bluegills. so i took them and dumped them all in the pond and about 10 of them survived
hahha nice pond man. i got a 100 gallon preformed pond from lowe's.using a 20 gallon trash can as a filter. and my pump is a pondmaster 700 gph. i think my pump is a little too much for my pond
right now, they are mostly eating frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and a little beef heart every once and a while. they also will eat tropical flakes and freeze dried bloodworms. they pretty much eat anything i give them.
can bluegill and goldfish live in there together?

Cr4z3dk33 2 years ago
@Cr4z3dk33 it's really good for turtles in general because of their size and dirtiness. you should be able to find them at any home depot or lowes
