Nope. That was the R10 prototype car; R7A 1575. It was originally built as an R7A, but after it got damaged in an accident, it was rebuilt with the interior & exterior of an R10 while still mechanically running as an R7A, and can only run with other R1-9 type cars.
Wow! When did this happen? I knew about the one in December 07 and that service went only from Queens Plaza to the LES. When did this happen? Is there a way to get on a mailing list so I can be kept in the know?
The "E" train operated to Queens in 1932 to serve the customers for the 1939 World's Fair in "Flushing Meadow Park. Tiday, the tracks are no longer there. You might see a small trace of the Independent Subway line that onced operated there going to Manhattan.
