  • Agreed...to compare Cortot with Pace is to do discredit to the former.

  • I amsure that Cortot did play a lot of Liszts works.

  • Cortot always brings something new to wellknown pieces. It is interesting to compare his expressive kind of playing with the frenzy Enrico Pace puts into his. Both continue to amaze me with their skills.

    Les changements causé par la politique pendant la deuxieme guerre mondiale et d apres guerre ne pouvait pas detruire cela. Faiblir oui , detruire non. Cortot etait incontournable comme techniquement et musicalement. Horowitz passait le voir comme toutes les grandes pianistes qui voulaient apprendre...
