I got the shadow key but not the cobalt shield and scared of going to hell

Argh! I got a shadow key, but couldn't find any shadow chests in the underworld, even after search a lot of buildings (though it was a large world), and you find two right away!!

Anyways, when mining hellstone clusters in big swaths of ash, it's better to tunnel through the ash for a ways, leaving untouched the hellstone you find, and then mine the hellstone on the way back. This way the lava it makes doesn't hinder your progress.

@KhymChanur Actually, it's best just to not be a dunce and remember to bring sand like I was originally supposed to. :P

There is no real fast way to do it, but just to get enough to make a sword you can get 1-3 gills pots and 1-2 obsidian skin pots and just swim your way around with a grappling hook to get them faster... Works even better if you get lucky and pick up a couple grav pots though, then you literally just fly around under the lava farming all the hellstone you need
