  • I have to ask why you put yourself through the expense and headache of owning a cat like this? I mean truly is it worth it? You can't honestly say this crippled cat gives you more than your healthy cats do! I mean yeah you may be prouder of this cat considering all he's went through but I'll bet if you were honost with yourself you enjoy the healthy animals more And what's with Lulu y don't you put that dog to sleep all the videos show a unhappy dog who's in pain y do u let her suffer ru selfish

  • @101bojangels Hypothetically, let's crash your car into a brick wall Oops, now your spine is broken and your family will have to take care of you because you can't walk. Let's ask you family is it really worth it? You can't honestly say you would give them more than a healthy relative! Yeah they may be prouder considering all you've been through but I bet if you were honest with yourself they enjoy the healthy people more. But you would want to live and inconvienience them! Are you selfish?

  • Such a brave & STRONG cat !!

  • Alera is such a strong cat.

  • agreed

  • why is that wound there??? what happened??? that looks so painful

    but what happened to him??

  • how come the vet never wears gloves?

  • Why wasnt he sedated?

  • I agree.. poor kitty

  • Thankyou for your kindness. If more people were as humane as you the world would be a better place.

  • he's a vet, you fucking morons dont know anything stop talking u overly sensitive retards

  • SHUT UP YOU FUCKING SHITHEAD!!!

If you loved animals, which you don't, you would know why they're sensitive!!!

  • lmao why don't you try making sense next time you decide to talk? fucking inbred

  • ha ha, how do you know he is an inbred?

  • @tetsusaiga17

what is wrong with you yelling and cursing?

  • Well,

    When people say that......

    It makes me really mad.....

  • You're an ass! How would you like it if someone kicked you in a wounded area after you were injured?!

  • how sad!!!! you dont pick at a scab! its natural for a body for for it. its part of the natural heeling process. well overall, im glad its getting help :D

  • What a brave little kitty.

  • wouldnt the scab heal on its own accord????

i wouldnt think itd need to be cleaned more than twice after the scab formed.. a scab is a natural bandaid... you woulndt need to keep cleaning it.. only if he dragged it in dirt.. or a dirty bacteria infested place..

  • Poor Alera...That looks really nasty...*hugs the kitty* Poor baby ;-;

  • you should of let the scab get healed instead

ripping the scab, it will only form another scab

  • omg eww poor kitty :(

  • u asshole!!! wut if that were u?!

  • lol, u gotta be more specific when u say things like that

  • shut ur damned trap.

  • this guy has really done everything he can for this poor kitty! I wish every one went as far for there pets as this guy did... Thanks guy!!

  • I agree!! Should let her sleep before all this painful precedure. They're.. Imagine you rub your wound in this manner. -.-

  • wow, graphic, at least put the cat to sleep, i dont like to hear those cries :(

  • Totally agree. That vet is cruel.

  • I only hope they used something to numb the cat before doing that. It would hurt terribly - and cats don't scream in pain, they become VERY quiet and often purr because they're distressed. I hope the proceedure was not too painful for him, because cats don't act like poeple when they hurt! I don't like that he used a cotton ball to swab the wound - the flecks of cotton could get caught in the wound and make it worse.

  • the cat shouldn't be awake when they're messing with his/her wound!

  • ohhhh poor baby. thats one calm kitty you've got.

  • Watch the previous movie. He was biting himself and wouldn't stop.

  • I cant bare watching that i was like "omg..."

Their peeling of the skin...DARN I CAN BARELY IMAGINE IT WAS ME AS THE KITTEN

  • the vet is probably concerned with whats underneath the scab. when there are large wounds like that, they don't heal correctly. i've heard of similar practices being used on humans.

  • Why did'nt that vet sedate Alera before peeling and pulling that scab off? I can't believe this! I know that was painful. I hope she's doing better.

  • i agree with u completly

  • My thoughts exactly! My vet would never have done it like that...

  • What a good kitty -especially all that he was going through.

  • Ouch! I hope they gave him a local.

  • cant belive he is still alive.i have a cat that was ran over by my neighbour. like alera.. he lost both his hind legs and tail after that. he continued to live for 2 weeks before succumbing to injury. hope alera will stay healthy....

    btw

    that looked quite painful

  • holy shit he/she's big. are his legs better?

  • I have a 6 week old, 1 lb manx kitten with deformed hips, she is unable to stand up on her back legs and pushes her back legs on one side. She has no bowel control and will need diapers. Where do you get your diapers for your kitten, and how do you keep the bottom from getting urine sores? Your help is greatly needed.

  • any new video of Alera? How is he doing?

  • that's got to hurt but how is it doing poor cat

  • poor little thing what a wound it must be in agony my heart goes out to her!

  • That's too hard to watch! I don't even know how he takes all that. Alera is an amazing boy!!! Is it for sure that were mites causing the biting?

  • Gee, I wish my cat had such a sweet disposition instead of biting me and the vet when I have to see her. Ah well, I guess they all have a different character. Hope baby Alera heals soon...

  • Alera will not bite me, nor Ah Black and Mimi as I am the king of the house, LOLx, just kidding.

  • wait!... give papi a kiss too!!!...

  • I shall do that! :)

Papi is the most nosiest in this house and wear the most diapers! I am getting broke.. ha ha :)

  • Alera is the best kitty ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, wow, he has been trough a lot, thank the heavens hes got you by his side. Please, give bobo, lucy, ah black ,mimi(orange kitty) and alera a big kiss for me, and one to you too.

  • Alera is so well behaved, even when in pain! What a strong, brave cat. Both of you are in our thoughts, and we can see everything will turn out okay, especially with you there to look out for him.

  • Exactly our thoughts too. Good luck Alera, and I hope that he heals soon :)

  • Phil, it's going to take a while for Alera to heal, the wound is not a pleasing sight. He is okay with the cone now and I have to help him by cleaning his face and body for him as he love to clean himself most of the time.

  • Yes, he is and this surprise the doc too, he doesn't show teeth and make any unpleasant sound at all. He is a good kid. Maybe I talk to him most of the time :P

  • Poor Alera! He has been through so much, as have you. I hope he heals soon, this was painful for me to watch, I can't imagine what he was going through. Both of you are in my prayers and thoughts.

  • Glad to see that Alera is getting the right treatment.

  • That is some big wound!!! Poor boy. Thanks for doing that for him. Hope the oint is numbing...

  • Oh wow...I am sorry for the kitty but I am glad its getting treatment.

  • So what was the official diagnosis? The other vet told you ear mites, seems a bit odd to me..did your actual vet tell you anything different?

  • Its the same vet. I just went to his clinic

  • How is Alera doing now?

  • Poor baby, I have been following your channel as much as possible.

  • I am sorry, when you mean scab, is it the dry skin? The dry skin is getting hard and the vet scare inside the wound will not be healed completely

  • The scab is what was pulled off - the "dry skin" as you put it. I'm assuming they did that and you need to use the new gel on the wound because it should be kept moist and not allowed to form a thick hard scab. It won't heal very well with the scab, it will take longer and be more painful if it does. Kept moist and covered, the wound will heal fairly quickly and remain flexible, cutting down on pain. Scabs are sometimes not the best thing for a wound.
