  • Great video. Pokeweed is a beautiful plant. I have one in my front yard and it's really intriguing to watch the various, colorful stages it goes through. I've made pokeberry wine a few times & just did a jam with the berries a few months ago. I have also used the berries & the root medicinally (in very small amounts) with good effect. Have not tried the poke sallet yet, however. Maybe this spring.... Just subscribed, btw.

  • can't really concentrate on the plant for the beautiful girl. damn she's beautiful!

  • They're not true pokeweeds then if anybody ate the berries raw and nothing happened. The berries being poisonous to mammals is well documented fact, I think birds are the only animals out there that eat them. Same thing with lots of other berries they'll eat but we can't.

  • my grandpa made poke wine out of the berrys alot of people around north GA does this and the berrys dont get cooked.

  • it ant poisonous or my sister would be dead she ate the berrys and the leaves right off of the plant when she was 5yo and she never got sick .i found her eating them she was purple all over her face lol.

  • its definitely poke

  • omg lol thats not poke
