  • black part shouldnt be on your right? o.O

  • how do i find the center of the belt.

  • @frankync12 Fold it in half

  • @frankync12

    Searching in google.

  • @frankync12 lol, fold it in half ha ha ha

  • That's how I tied my belt for several years. After receiving my black belt I started using a Judo knot. That knot WILL NOT come undone unless you purposely undo it. It also looks better with no overlap in the back. Just my opinion.

  • Thank you man ;D

  • Thank you for this video, i tried looking up other videos but they go to fast and dont explain it well. Danke.

  • @dingdongditch98 you are welcome. I am still learning at doing these videos.

  • I'm a purple belt and STILL don't doit right....i just do the belt in the middle, wrap around and tie it lol...i really need to do this cos it ALWAYS falls of

  • THANK YOU! xD my friends always had to tie my belt cause i couldn´t do it. i´ll have to practise doing it my self now. finally. :D

  • Very goood!!! Its the first time that i see a bjj practitioner tie the belt very perfect .

  • thanks helped alot

  • i dont get a shit -.-

  • Thanks! helped alot!

  • Thank you for the advice, you are so kind trying to help others !!!!!!!! high class !!!!!

  • the belt keeps your gi tight daaaa

  • this just saved my from looking like an ass at my first class

  • @sk1tzo420 A belt on the floor is meaningless in BJJ. Our belts fall off all the time. On any given day you'll see a class rolling with belts strewn about. It's really not something to get worked up about.

And this guy sounds EXACTLY like the guy from LOST!

  • @triton2003 the belt just holds your pants up anyways

  • @JiuDoRick the belt holds the trousers up? xD we lose our belt a dozen times while training and the trousers don´t fall down. ^^

  • @Lilithly figure of speech

  • @sk1tzo420 karate sucks ballz

  • THANKS

  • @triton2003 Well said. Very helpful, my belt fell off way too easily before I started tying it like this.

  • @sk1tzo420 Since BJJ and Judo are grappling arts its impossible for the belt to not touch the ground. Whats the big deal about ur belt touching the ground anyways?

  • brazilian da bests

  • Thank you !!

  • actually you you can tie the belt so there is no overlap around the waist and it appears to be a single piece around the waist.

  • Judo and jiu-jitsu the same knots...

  • Almost any martial art has the same knot lol.

  • It always overlaps in the back. it doesn't matter how you try to tie the belt it's going to overlap. i don't know what clubs would tell a student not to overlap it. it can't be done.

  • @rahtool i know haha that would be ridiculous that sounds like a trick like if u cant tie ur belt correctly its 100 pushups and i dont want it to overlap in the back haha that would be messed up

  • that is not true. It can be done by adjusting before you do the X thing in the front....before the last step you fix it before the last step.

  • did 20min over to get it thanks

  • Actually if he is with Triton Academy then he is from Tulsa, OK. Triton is also part of the Renato Tavares Association, Renato is associated with the ATT at Vero Beach, FL.

  • 0:30 .... 0:50.... 1:00 1:25

  • @Ibeatyou23 I don't get it

  • @Ibeatyou23 What are the links for?

  • Comment removed

  • @RelatedGiraffe If i remember correctly, those links are for various parts of the video at which i found difficult or important lol

  • im guessing this guy trains with american top team in coconut creek fl... i see under his gi the words "top team" with red and white stripes above.

  • Well there are alot of ATT's in Florida, the one in Coconut Creek being the only really good one.

  • thanks mate. wasnt sure on how to tie it without it coming off every minute

  • This to me is the best way to tie your belt in BJJ... Takes a lot to get it loose when your rolling.

  • THANK YOU!! I showed a blue belt this vid who has been training for 5 years and he never knew it!!!

  • thanks ... !
