  • How long have you been doing contortion for? Are you self taught or do you have a trainer at a gym? Are you naturally flexible or did you have to train really hard to get that flexible? Do you crack sometimes when you stretch?

  • She's been doing it 6 weeks and she is self taught. She is Crazily motivated and naturally flexible but of course she has been working really hard as well. And yes, it is perfectly normal 'crack' lol :p

  • I started practicing in June, and your progress is amazing!!

    I'm close to a chest stand, but I can't get my chin on the floor yet.

    How do you progress so quickly?

  • dont worry. you'll deffinitly get it on the floor soon. you just need to work at your own pace and not try to push yourself for things you're not ready for.

    i progress so quickly because i have hypermobility i think, which basically means my back is double jointed.

  • There is no such thing as double jointed. I have hypermobility, it means your ligaments are very loose, and flexible. (:

  • Your progress is scary amazing! Please teach us how to get our backs that flexible :)

  • Yeah, because your stretching your back further then its used to going. But the pain was always gone by the next day for me.

  • I see you used some music from cirque du soleil's Corteo! I have the dvd ^^ Cirque du soleil is my dream and I am also a contortionist I do gymnastics. If you gain upper body strength to the point you can hold handstand you should start doing some balances. You seem ready (: Good luck and keep up the training!

  • Yes, very much! My favorite show is La Nouba ^^ So anyway, try getting some strength. You are at the same point when I started doing balances. But Since I am a gymnast I may feel more confident with what I do. Also with split try putting a book or something under your front foot so then you can stretch it further. If you have anything to ask like to do with stretches or want some tip feel free to ask. I don't bite ;)

  • Me? An hour or two a day. But am really focusing on imporiving my strength. I am trying for a one handed blance while contorted XD lol.

  • Good stuff, you really improve quickly.

    I note that when you did the bridge and put your hands under your chin you almost sat on your head. If you hold that a bit longer, I am sure that you will be able to sit on your during that same training session.

  • Your cheststands are soooo amazing!!! I know I keep telling you this, but truly... your progress is unbelievable for only 6 weeks!

    And you got your scorpion pose!! During one part, you were using your arms more to stay up there, then you finally let your back flexibility do the balancing for you, yay!! ;)

  • You have amazing back flexibility... can you frontbend as well? It's amazing to me that so many contortionists can bend themselves in half backwards and can do the splits all 3 ways, but can't put their legs behind their head. Never understood that. I'd love to see you attept some frontbending in future videos if you will. Keep up the good work.

  • I havent really been doing any frontbending, but since summer is in 2 days, i'll start working on it. and have a video up eventually :)

  • Wow! After 6 weeks you can just roll or drop into a chest stand! Fantastic! Remember to keep stretching for the splits and frontbending as well. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to the next update!
