"Judging", in the Bible, is not stating someone's sin. Jesus, Paul, Peter, and many other Bible authors called out sins of others. Yet they also said "do not judge." That is because calling out sin where you see it is not "judging". "Judging" has to do with doing what judges do... handing out sentences, punishing, etc.

It's my understanding that when the New Testament speaks of "Jews," it's referring to the top dogs - Pharisees, Sadducees and the like. They were ALL Jewish, remember, and weren't called "Christians (Little Christs)" until later.
i agree with you...when the word refers to the jews I have always taken it, for the most part, to mean the pharisees and sadducees but im sure there were many times he was confronted and rejected by lay folk as well.... The purpose of miracles is that God loves his children and wants to display his love, mercy and goodness...and if you arrive at any other conclusion you haven't been at the receiving end of one. warrior- TB is not my "personal" enemy but an enemy of the cross and my Father. He is a man who has access to Gods word and teaches as one who has authority yet openly defies its authority and teaches things puffed up by his own mind. He is without excuse and the Word does not command us to just "pray" for those like him. Rather all Christians are commanded by Paul to expose him and other like him to keep them from willingly deceiving others while praying God brings them to repentance.
warrior- the Bible tells us to pray for "our" enemies. This is a command to not take personal vengeance on our enemies not a command to disregard their behaviors & blindly look the other way in a false hippy love. Why did Jesus turn the tables at the temple? Shouldn't He have just prayed for His enemies? His actions were holy & justifiable because He exposed the wickedness of the moneychangers in order stop their behavior of taking advantage of His brethren. That is a Christians responsibility.

Other people claim the devil is healing, here is some deep theology, "God good, devil bad." Let's clarify, a skeptic is someone who won't believe until he sees, (like Thomas), a unbeliever is someone who doesn't believe even after they see, like the PHARASES.
I live in Florida about 2 hours east of Lakeland. I have been to some of the revival meetings and can attest that Todd Bentley is not a heretic. He himself denies having power to heal the sick and raise the dead. John 10:4 says his sheep know his voice. I have walked with the LORD for some time now and have lately been seeking his face more than ever. This is not to speak highly of myself but it is to say that the face that i found before april 2 is the same face that shines upon Todd Bentley.
It is a sign that the apostle Paul told us would be one of the signs of his soon return when people would not put up with sound doctrine. Jesus said that an evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign, these folks instead of seeking after Christ in his holy word seek after feelings and blessings. God's word will show how these false teachers to prove the true believers that will not create idols in their minds to follow after signs and wonders that lead away from God's word.
Were the signs of the apostles false? Were the miracles Jesus did false ??? Can't anyone come in his name, do miraculous things and do it by the power of God??? Jesus said these signs would folow those who believe! The real tragedy here is not that there are some real false apostles out there- But that there is so little discernment to know when someone is truly anointed of God...like Todd Bentley! Wake up.. Please!
An apostle was someone personally sent by Jesus after His resurrection. It was not in vision but flesh. Second you never see the apostles refer to anyone other than those with that qualification as an apostle. Third, this is why Paul had to partially defend his apostleship. The apostles as the OT priests and kings were for a time, not an ongoing office. Lastly, the apostles never ordained or commissioned an apostle. Why do you think that is? They understood what you don't, the word of God.
So there are no apostles today other than those with Christ. And Todd Bentley does not fit that qualification for so many reasons.

must we have a perfect preacher before we listen to him? I very much doubt anyone but Jesus was perfect and look at the trouble he faced. People who refuse to listen will probably refuse to listen, the Pharisees looked for sin in Jesus' life to discredit him. I'm saying he's fat and imperfect, but we're not perfect either and if we wait or verbally stone any preacher who isn't perfect we won't get anywhere. Todd Bentley is an obvious, unrepentant glutton (a fat over eater) which is a *sin*, and he has (not surprisingly) admitted to adultery while teaching/pastoring (whether physical or of the heart is unclear, but he admitted an extra-marital relationship).
No one should follow him or look up to him as a teacher or pastor. No one should give him anything more then the simple respect all humans and believers deserve... nothing more.

"Judging", in the Bible, is not stating someone's sin. Jesus, Paul, Peter, and many other Bible authors called out sins of others. Yet they also said "do not judge." That is because calling out sin where you see it is not "judging". "Judging" has to do with doing what judges do... handing out sentences, punishing, etc.

Overeating is a sin. Period. I, for one, am sick and tired of all these fat, gluttonous preachers insulting the name of Christ with their hypocrisy (Falwell comes to mind, though he of course died of a heart attack after eating 3000 calorie breakfast... but there are many others continuing the evangelical tradition of calling out everyone's sin but their own gluttony.

Jesus told the disciples to go heal the sick, cast out demons, and preach the kingdom message....arent these the same trates Todds doing?? Todd was not healing the sick and casting out demons. He was doing magic and stage hypnotism tricks and rumours and hype. Yes, the Apostles did do greater things (in terms of earth bound activities) and so the Body of Christ does too. Thank Jesus of course. The point is that I don't see this passage is indicating one single Christian himself will get more physical/miracle healing powers. Its certainly not Todd.

Scholarly consensus confirms that 1 Cor 13:10 was referring to the return of Jesus, not the completed protestant cannon of scripture. (I studied this in Bible College... and a conservative Mennonite one at that). The bible does, however say that we ought to seek the supernatural abilities that the Holy Spirit gives... we are commissioned to do the same things that Jesus and the apostles did... and even greater works than Jesus (John 14:12).

Miracles historically in the Bible are always seen as a work which attests to the validity of a prophets origin being from God, and therefore their message from God. Read 1 Kings 18:20-40 (God or Baal) Even the miracles Jesus did were to attest to His origin,function as Messiah and message. It was less about the persons ailment and more about God revealing His power and messages. Thats why Jesus said, "A wicked and perverse generation seeks for signs and wonders." They miss the real purpose.

The second beast calls fire down from heaven, sound familiar 1 Kings18:38. / Rev13:14 says the signs deceive the people, why? Because the message that followed the signs did not line up with what the sign pointed towards, God. So those who see no harm in miracles which appear as of God by messengers of false doctrines might as well get in line for your mark now. To the rest, take heed lest you be deceived.

This is a command to not take personal vengeance on our enemies not a command to disregard their behaviors & blindly look the other way in a false hippy love. I checked my theology. All of the men that God uses are fallen and sinful. He uses both the redeemed and the reprobate. Read Romans 9:17.

Yes we were fallen and sinful...but under the blood now we're washed and redeemed...we are now in Christ and righteous...I'm sorry I wont be sitting under any fallen and sinful ministers any time soon. Ps Paharo being used in Gods plan isn't quite the same as God using evil unsaved men to do His work of ministry is it now?? I cant speak for your self but I am no longer a sinner but a saint.

Why would your wife/you who know Jesus and are on fire for Him go to a meeting of a man/ministry who dishonors the word of God by speaking false things concerning the Jesus you love? Why would you even open the doors to such a ministry much less walk in? What about obedience to the one you love? 1 Cor.5:11 John 10:27 My sheep hear Me and know my voice.- His voice is the word, if you know Jesus as you say, then allow His word to dictate your direction not your pain.

PABIGRACE Thats funny I once heard that Jesus spat in mud and rubbed it in someones eyes then another time He let someone die just so he could raise them again.I stated quite CLEARLY its not just healing it is all the rest of the accompanying fruit that lines up with the word of God please next time read my post.False prophets don't leave folks with a desire to pay heaps and read the word more you don't walk away with more peace, joy, zeal and so on thats called an imparation of the Holy Ghost .

PLANETZION- A "zeal" for God yields obedience, conviction,repentance and a hunger/understanding of His word, not sin. The fact you or your wife went to the meeting of a man looking for Godly things although he teaches false doctrine shows it was not based on a knowledge of truth and obedience no matter the results. You may want to check the "zeal" you have. PS. The "fruit" is a message of a prophet, nothing else, keep you interpretation and applications in context. Matt 7:15-20 -check it out

Matthew 7:15-20 doesn't say that...that is your interpretation on Matthew 7:15-20..you can teach what you know but reproduce what you are thats fruit. There are plenty of ministers around with a great message but are producing bad fruit in the lives of those who listen..It doesnt say by their message you will know them it states observe the fruit so we wont be taken by the words alone...A tree isnt know by the tree but what it produces.

...and the fruit that has come from our encounter with Todd Bentley and his ministry has been hunger for the Word, abundant increase in prayer, more love for our brothers in the faith etc etc etc...its called getting a touch from God..impartation of His spirit... think me and my wife, by know, can recognize the zeal of the Lord...much love planet z

my wife (who's been a Christian her whole life) got healed of an extremely aggressive breast cancer at a Todd Bentley meeting in Australia...it was the size of a golf ball and now it is the size of a pea and still declining...but thats not the real fruit...she came back on fire for JESUS...not Angels not Todd..she spends more time in the word then ever more time praying then ever and the fervent increase in her sincere devotion to Christ has been EVIDENT....

....that my friends is CHRISTIAN fruit not the fruit of the devil...satan doesn't deceive people into a closer relationship with Jesus...have you not read "a house divided can not stand"...?? We know our Lord we love Jesus and we are saved by grace through faith by His blood alone....we carry our cross daily and fellow ship in His sufferings, we love the household of faith and seek to win the lost....and we know what happened at the meeting was the work of the one we Love...Jesus Christ....

Christian, read your Bible. Study God's word and test the spirits. Hosea 4:6 says "my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge". This man is not of God. Miracles are not even a sign that this man is Godly. In the endtimes people like Todd Bentley, Benny Hinn etc will come and deceive God's elite. They fall short when compared with God's word. Well short. They need forgiveness and saving.

Your mostly right but The 'elect' he will not let be deceived, though it would be possible if not for God's intervention. Besides these are false wonders. We see by the hands of the such as todd Bentley, benney hinn, & many others.

Folks,just remember God is using Todd,whether u like it or not. Look all the healings and miracles to all people. Just ask what God (thru Todd) has done in their lives and I am sure you will use your own intelligence if Todd is false.I have not been to lakeland,but I go to Toronto Airport Ch. Fellowship and seen Todd bring many souls to Christ. He spends so much time with God,which is why he is very successful in his ministry.This wicked world sure needs a man like Todd. Hey wake up and smell the heresy. Todd Bentley said himself that he was demon possessed. He is a liar and a false prophet. Read the only and complete revelation of God, the Bible and this will become quite obvious to all of you who think Todd is a good guy. I don't make it a habit to question if someone is saved, but I have serious doubts about Todd B. and he is certainly leading people astray with his lies and heresy.

Todd Bentley's PRIMARY goal in life is to win souls for Jesus Christ! He says it himself! Even if none of these other amazing things happened - Todd Bentley would still chase souls to win for the Kingdom of Heaven... how does that make him a heretic? People out to make money and deceive people, don't have a heart for the lost, they have a heart for money! Todd Bentley gives all his money away! The Lord smiles at Todd Bentley! Quit putting him down! Try seeking the Lord even a little and see!

This whole thing makes my skin crawl. This so-called "ministry" is from the pit of hell. And pictures of angels? Rocks from heaven? Is he kidding? It's a money-making scheme pure and simple. Jesus talked about false prophets who would come in the last days and fool even the elect. Christians, don't be fooled!

a PHARASE is one who witnesses a blind man see, and all they can say is "Give glory to God, but we know this man is a sinner."I was there, we witnessed 1000s being healed, and all some people can say is some biblical sounding accusation! Other people claim the devil is healing, here is some deep theology, "God good, devil bad." Let's clarify, a skeptic is someone who won't believe until he sees, (like Thomas), a unbeliever is someone who doesn't believe even after they see, like the PHARASES.

I live in Florida about 2 hours east of Lakeland. I have been to some of the revival meetings and can attest that Todd Bentley is not a heretic. He himself denies having power to heal the sick and raise the dead. John 10:4 says his sheep know his voice. I have walked with the LORD for some time now and have lately been seeking his face more than ever. This is not to speak highly of myself but it is to say that the face that i found before april 2 is the same face that shines upon Todd Bentley.

It is a sign that the apostle Paul told us would be one of the signs of his soon return when people would not put up with sound doctrine. Jesus said that an evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign, these folks instead of seeking after Christ in his holy word seek after feelings and blessings. God's word will show how these false teachers to prove the true believers that will not create idols in their minds to follow after signs and wonders that lead away from God's word.

Were the signs of the apostles false? Were the miracles Jesus did false ??? Can't anyone come in his name, do miraculous things and do it by the power of God??? Jesus said these signs would folow those who believe! The real tragedy here is not that there are some real false apostles out there- But that there is so little discernment to know when someone is truly anointed of God...like Todd Bentley! Wake up.. Please!

An apostle was someone personally sent by Jesus after His resurrection. It was not in vision but flesh. Second you never see the apostles refer to anyone other than those with that qualification as an apostle. Third, this is why Paul had to partially defend his apostleship. The apostles as the OT priests and kings were for a time, not an ongoing office. Lastly, the apostles never ordained or commissioned an apostle. Why do you think that is? They understood what you don't, the word of God.

So there are no apostles today other than those with Christ. And Todd Bentley does not fit that qualification for so many reasons.
