Amazing Eco-logging Elephants in Munnar, Kerala, India!

I am curious to know what others think about that previous comment. I of course don't condone animal abuse, and some people do believe this is animal abuse. But, I have also heard that sometimes the way the muhoot (elephant driver) 'hits' the elephant is not supposed to be abuse, it is a way to communicate to the animal to move particular limbs. I could be completely wrong. I wonder too why people get all bent out of shape about this which is not 'as bad' as factory farming in US!!

@alaivani I´we heard that actually the elephant has so thick skin that if you hit it with your fist he feels it like you are tapping him. behind ears the skin is more light that´s why the muhoot sits on the neck.

And these elephants are happy to do work, other wise they wouldn´t wake their "drivers" on the morning to go to work, and if they dont get to work they will tear the holding place down cause their bored.

At least that´s what the TV-show about animals working told.
