of course animals wont hear the shutter sound, when using 300mm.. thats why shutter may not scare birds and animals because of the lens needed to shoot them.. :)

Ive used Nikon since I first used a camera. Im a long time film guy. And im sorry pentax may have "better quality" but I highly doubt they are higher quality 99.9% of the photographers I see at sporting events not the amateur's in the stand but the ones on the sidelines taking photos for getty, nfl network, reuters arent using pentax, they are using nikon and cannon. PENTAX = CRAP

Im sure you shoot pentax, you probably use a point n shoot. LOL....give me a break. I would love to see a true professional use a pentax, they wouldnt get the shots they need to make a living. The optics of the lenses arent the same.
The arrogance of Canikon fanboys are perhaps much greater than I had originally thought. Pentax has been known to make some of the sharpest primes, there are nothing from Canikon that matches the quality of the FA 31, 43, and 77 Limited optics from Pentax. For professionals that use Pentax, I am guessing you haven't heard of Conor Doherty? And Benjamin Kanarek who switched over to an APS-C made by Pentax after have been using a Canon full frame.

Arrogance....definitely not. Strong dislike towards pentax perhaps. The sharpest images period from cannon and nikon. Ive taken well over 100,000 images in my lifetime. And the sharpest cleanest images I have were taken with cannon and nikon camera's.. To me the Pentax feels cheap and the shutter sounds like a toy. I have a preference yes, towards cannon and nikon.

Ive used Nikon since I first used a camera. Im a long time film guy.
