@groovey65 Now Sonic Youth is one of my top favorite bands, but I still really like this song. I wish people would stop complaining about shit like this. Every musician tries to sound a little bit like their influences, that's how music evolves. I mean, might as well say every rock band is stealing from blues, Elvis, or the Beatles. So quit your bitching. It's not like this band has affected your life in a traumatic way.

@groovey65 I have to agree though, the opening guitar riff sounds exactly like the intro guitar riff of Mote (makes me wonder if it was intentional or coincidence). I personally don't care though, I wish people were actually more open to people using other people's work to make their own. A lot of people get sued for sampling music, or making collages from other people's artwork and I think that's bullshit.

@hubert1199999 I disagree, music is in my opinion a state of emotional expression so using some one elses riffs or sampling their music defeats the purpose but then again you could argue that a band covering another band's song would be doing the same thing... I guess you are right to a certain extent, small samples are okay but using a riff for an entire verse i'm sorry but for me thats a no no.
