we have Gallofrees, Corvettes (also known as Rebel blockade runners), Nebulon-B's, Lancers, Carracks, Bulk Freighters, All to scale and all fully controllable AND mannable (turrets etc) by human players and can be flown completely in 3D, Bank, Pitch and roll. :)

Anyway, the blaster bolts need to be bigger and brighter, you can see the lighting dynamic lighting more than the bolt :P

They actually Don't, but even if they did you have to consider gameplay. can you imagine how much you would have to Lead your target for medium to long range if your blaster bolts travelled realy slowley?

it would make hitting people virtually an impossibility. We have the bolts ALOT slower than regular BF2142, so you can see them, but there not too slow as to impede gameplay.

They doensn't use Lasers in Star Wars. They are called blasters. Lasers would be impossible too even catch a glimt of, since it is pure light, and light travells at the speed of light.

Blasters aren't lasers, they fire packets or 'bolts' of superheated plasma. Yes, I am a geek. But also a lore person for First Strike, so I'd hope I know my stuff. ; )

Well..Blasters-bolts is made of energy, but it doesn't travell at the speed of light. The other fact that it ain't lasers, is that Blasters have limited range. Laser-beams havn't.

Only because we found the Star Wars Battlefront games a little lacking, especially the second one. We did a game like this because we wanted to see a Battlefield like game set in the Star Wars universe, which I feel the Battlefront games failed to deliver on. That said I did play the first one religiously despite its shortcomings.
