@patemansmith1 Honestly, the force of the wave alone would be too powerful. It would pull you under, and would most likely drown you. Then again, if one had a large supply of oxygen, then one may be able to survive.

@TheOmegaLegacy - Check out Letuya Bay (sp?), Alaska. They've had mega tsunamis before. Scientists had been flying over in a helicopter in the 1950s and had seen second growth trees up about 1500 ft and couldn't figure out why. In 1958 it happened again. Part of the mountain collapsed, for lack of a better word, causing a landslide that produced a tsunami with waves reaching more than 1500 feet tall. It wasn't an earthquake that caused it, but waves can get that high. Interesting stuff, that.

Yeah I am aware of the Lituya Bay megatsuani. But an earthquake cannot make a tsunami this big unless it would be something like a magnitude of 18.

@zerker12312 A volcanic eruption during Ancient Greek times made a tsunami bigger than this, and so have many comets and landslides.

But an earthquake couldn't make it this big.
