I know the NKT does not have ownership over the Dharma, but I find it a lot harder to practice without the support. I find it a lot harder to practice without the benefit of receiving teachings. It should be made clear that Shugen worship itself violates religious freedom, because Shugden does not allow followers to practice other schools than the "pure Gelug school". Those who practice other schools "mix the pure doctrine" and will be killed for that "crime" by the deity Dorje Shugden, or they will at least be punished by a terrible sickness and finally die a horrible death.

"Buddhism" shouldn't exist.
If it was the complete truth then it would not be a religion.
The Buddha philosophized and taught great things, but as you do with all great philosophers, you must sift through and find the real justifiable knowledge. It goes the same with understanding others like Plato and Aristotle, yet you wouldn't call yourself a Platoist or Aristotlite.
One of the best steps is to kill the Buddha and release yourself.
Only then you will find the path to towards enlightenment.

Buddhism is just the name that refers to the teachings. But I do understand what you mean. I don't consider it to be a religion because it's not a religion at all. It simply teaches us how to free ourselves of suffering. More like.. It reminds us that we have the ability, as human beings, to abandon suffering. We just don't have to. That's it.

i dont think you know what buddhism is: its a religion in which all living people arent equaly valued. how much valued one is depends on how high in the society the person is(monk being the highest). and servant being the lowest. for a serwant to be more valued then he would have to die and hope to be reincarnated to a better person.

I agree. China is an ancient and beautiful civilization, and it is a shame that they have been ruled over by an oppressive authoritarian regime that has forced the Dalai Lama out of his home, kidnapped the Panchen Lama when he was 6, and arrested Tibetans for peaceful protests. I'm happy that they are a superpower, but will be happier when their government becomes less corrupt.

why do thousand of tibetan flee tibet every year? think about that. the answer is (1) lack of freedom & human rights (2) lack of opportunities (3) in india, they are guaranteeed free education and help from the exile government (4) in india, they can voice their opinions and not be tortured or shot for doing so (5) every tibetan wishes to see and be close to the dalai lama, a spiritual figure that they have lots of respect for. Oh no I'm not Christian. I was merely replying to a comment some other person who is a Christian made saying questioning whether the Dalai Lama's claims are true and then saying what if killing is good so I was stating that it isn't because their religion says it's wrong.
