I will use a external hard drive as a place to save everything on it.

After having done all windows 7 clean installed but it's not as smooth as my vista. Is it drivers chipset intel something or what? I am not really very good at all these things. My setup is an Asus laptop m51sn 3 gb ram core 2 duo t 8300 e.t.c.

Am I missing some crucial drivers?. Everythin working except I get some crackling noises playing Fl studio while my old vista is smooth. What can I do to make my new win 7 smooth. plsss.

@PreciousAhavah Hey man, I had a friend with the same problem. Do you have asio4all installed? If you dont, install it (it comes with fl studio, and google is your friend) and if you do, change the audio options in fl studio to use the asio4all drivers (goto options>audio settings and change the input/output from your soundcards drivers, to the asio4all drivers). Hope this helps :-)

Everything tells you that The windows 7 upgrade is for vista only. If you have XP you need to do a clean install, a clean install can be done with an upgrade disc too
